(Sorry this took so long)
Evan would normally cry at that word. 'Fag'. But he was most angry, because he could only assume he was talking about Connor. The worst part of it all? Connor had clearly heard Mr. Murphy, because Connor's face was scrunched up in sadness. Evan's fists clenched as he tried not to hiss in frustration, but as soon as Connor's door shut behind them...
"God, I can see why you didn't want to come here alone, your dad's a d-dick!" Connor's mouth fell open in shock, chuckling a bit. "Wow, I didn't even know you physically could swear!" Evan blushed and covered his mouth, mumbling a half-hearted apology. "No, my dad is a dick, I just didn't realize you could even be angry!" Connor began to laugh harder and harder, until Evan was also laughing hysterically.
After a while, both boys were just sitting on Connor's bed, doing homework and making the occasional comment on the amount of work, or making fun of the problems in the math workload. "Why the hell is Martha buying 20 bottles of shampoo at once? How much fucking hair does Martha have?" Connor snickered. Evan laughed, leaning over Connor's paper to change a few things he had gotten wrong on the problem.
"Y-You, uh, have to carry the four, then divide it by 20." Connor rolled his eyes. "Neeeerd." "At least I'm not failing math, Connor." Connor hisses at Evan, pushing his face away from him. Evan laughs, but is cut off by the door opening.
Fucking Larry.
