"Uh, hey. Do you know where I can find Oliver Sykes?" I heard a familiar sounding voice but I couldn't place it. I finished folding the shirt I had been folding, setting it on the shelf before I spun around, being met with someone I hadn't wanted to see. I looked up at him and all I wanted was to scream at him but I held it in, forcing myself to put on a smile. "I'm sorry but Oli isn't in today. He is spending the day with his brother, Tom." I said as nicely as I could, making him groan. "Thanks." He mumbled before looking around, seeming a bit interested in a few items of clothing. "Can I help you find something?" I questioned, making him glance at me before he shook his head. "Nah, I think I'll just look around a bit. I'll ask if I need any help." He said with a smile and I nodded, going behind the counter. I slipped my phone off the little shelf below it and ran into the back of the shop, immediately texting Oli.

I heard the bell in the front of the shop jingle, followed by silence before slightly raised voices. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I heard and immediately knew it was Chris. I ran out to the front of the shop in a panic and stared at the two men arguing. I stayed silent as they argued, up until I got sick of it. "Chris, leave it." I yelled slightly, making them both look at me. Chris' face softened slightly as he took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. I had never planned on seeing my dad again but here he was. I was going to just let him shop and leave because he didn't recognize me but then Chris showed up and they started arguing. My dad gave me a questioning and slightly annoyed stare for interrupting their arguing. He went to open his mouth but I shut him down. "Don't say another fucking word, dad." I said and his facial expression changed automatically to confused then shocked, followed by sadness as he stared at me. "What?" He asked and I took a deep breath, sighing and preparing for what I knew would come next. "What the hell happened to you? Where the hell did you go?" He asked and I gave a dry, humorless laugh. "You took away the love of my life so I left. I had nothing for me anymore. I couldn't be around you after what you did. I heard you that night. I heard the yelling and the argument and I heard you in the phone with the cops. I heard it all, Dad. You took Chris away from me." I said, tears forming in my eyes as all of my emotions from that night flowed back to me as he just stared at me, cris coming to my side and wrapping his arms around me tightly as I cried. Silence surrounded us for what felt like forever before my dad spoke up. "Hayden.. I'm sorry." He said, his voice cracking slightly. "I'm sorry for everything. I didn't know you two meant that much to each other. You were a kid. I didn't want you getting hurt." He whispered as I looked at him. "I was 17. I wasn't a kid. I knew what I was doing. You should have trusted me to know what I was doing." I said and he nodded as he hung his head in disappointment at himself. "I'm so sorry." He said and I sighed. I didn't want to forgive him but I knew it was the right thing to do. I looked up and Chris with a sad smile and he nodded with a small smile back, letting me go. I ran over to my dad and hugged him for the first time in years. As much as I hated what he did, I couldn't hate him entirely. After all, he is my dad.

"Oi, what the fuck?" I hear Oli's familiar voice as the door opened. I looked up at him as my dad and I separated, both of our makeup smeared from crying. "Lilith, what is going on? Are you alright?" He asked, concern lacing his voice as he ran over to me. I nodded softly as I snuggled and wiped at my cheeks. "What did you do to the poor girl, Dev?" He asked as he looked at my dad. "Oil, relax. He knows." I said and ok I furrowed his eyebrows at me. "I thought you didn't want anyone knowing?" He asked and I shook my head. "He saw Chris and they started fighting and I got in the middle of it and it kind of slipped." I sighed and he shook his head with a chuckle. "Well, he's probably going to kick my ass for this whole thing but it was worth it." Oil announced as he hugged me and kissed my cheek. We both looked over at my dad who had a pissed off look on his face, telling us oil was probably right about getting his ass kicked. "What the fuck, Sykes? You knew I was going crazy trying to find her and you had her here the whole fucking time?" He asked, aggression evident in his tone of voice and his body language. "Oi, not my fault the girl was broken lost and confused. Calm down. She's fine. Didn't I tell you she was fine?" Oil asked him and he growled a little at him. "You're dead." My dad said before he jumped at Oli who was quick to jump out of the way and take off running. "Catch you later, Lil! Be sure to lock up!" He shouted behind his as he ran out the door, my dad got on his trail. I stared out the window after them for a few moments before they both disappeared. I looked up at Chris as we just stood there staring at each other for a minute before laughing about what just happened. I was pretty sure Oli would live and they would get past his hiding me out from my dad and helping me reform myself so I let it go.
