I heard the door bell ring and got up, making way over to the door. I unlocked and opened it to be greeted with a group of people I hadn't seen in 2 years. I screamed and hugged each of them, careful for my stomach, before I let them inside. We went into the living room just as Chris came bolting in through the back door, panic written on his face. "What happened? Are you ok? Why did you scream?" He asked quickly, freaking out before he noticed the people behind me and his face changed to his normal expression as he took a breath and let it out. "Oh thank god, I though you were dying." He huffed and I giggled, waddling over to him and kissing him. "Thank you for worrying and rushing in like a superhero but I'm ok. I just got excited." I said and he nodded, resting his forehead against mine and placing a kiss on my nose before standing up straight again and looking at Dee, Vinny, and my dad. "Devin, it's so good to see you again. It's been awhile." He said and my dad nodded with a chuckle. "Sure has. How's the band going?" He asked and he shrugged. "Same old guys so pretty good. We are coming out with some new merch Tori created." He said and my dad raised an eyebrow at me. "You design merch?" He asked and I shrugged, a small smile and blush on my face. "Maybe." I said before I looked over at Dee and Vinny. "Oh yea, Chris, this is my best friend Dee and my friend Vinny. He's in the band with my dad." I said and chris turned his attention to them with a smile. "It's nice to meet you guys." He said and they nodded, offering little smiles. "Momma!" I heard Riley yell as he came running into the house. "Riley, don't run in the house. You know better than that." I scolded and he smiled before Dee caught his attention. "Aunt Dee!" He yelled as he ran over and she bent down to hug him. "Hey little dude." She said before she let go and he saw my dad. "Grandpa Ghost!" He yelled again and ran over, jumping on his back and making him stumble a bit before he got his bearings again and laughed. "It's nice to see you too, Riley." He said as he bent down to let him down easy. Riley then grinned as he saw Vinny and ran over to him as well, hugging him tightly. "Hi, uncle Vinny!" He grinned at him and Vinny chuckled and smiled back. "How've you been, kid?" He asked and Riley nodded quickly. "Mom and dad have been letting me do guitar lessons and drum lessons!" He said and Vinny looked up at me. I just shrugged with a smile. "He wanted to learn so why not?" I said and Vinny shook his head at me with a laugh. "Well, why don't you show me what you can do on a drum set little man?" He asked and Riley looked up at me and Chris, is giving him nods of approval before he took Vinny's hand and pulled him up the stairs with him. I held back a laugh as he stumbled behind Riley, trying to go up the stairs but also stay bent down to hold his hand. It was rather hilarious. When they disappeared, I looked at Dee with a smile. "Baby, we're going to watch a movie down here, ok?" I asked and Chris nodded with a smile, taking my hint. "That's fine, babe. Devin, would you like to help me get the grill started for dinner?" He asked and I saw him and my dad exchange looks before he nodded, a look of realization on his face. "Yea, sure." He said before Chris led him out the back door onto the patio. I waddled over to the couch and took a seat, Dee sitting next to me. I turned on the tv and pulled up a random movie on Netflix before I turned to face her. She looked at me with a questioning look and I gave her a fake scowl. "What's going on with you and my dad? Are you two a thing?" I asked and her eyes went wide. "Oh my god, no. No! Ew! Hell no!" She squeaked out and I kept staring at her. "You two have been spending a lot of time together." I said and watched as her face went red in embarrassment. "We have but not that way! Devin has been going through a rough time. He misses you and Riley so much he's sort of went into a depression. I've been helping him through it. It's why I planned this trip to come see you guys. He really needed to at least be around you for a bit. You being across the country, you're all he really has with family anymore, Hay--- I mean Tori." She said and I thought about it as I nodded slowly, guilt sinking in. "I guess I didn't really think about how he would feel when I left." I said quietly as I felt my lip quiver. I hurt my dad yet again over Christopher Cerulli. This was the second time I left because of him. I felt the hot tears spill from my eyes and Dee's arms wrap around me. I'm over emotional ass it is and being pregnant, it's worse. "I keep hurting him." I whispered shakily as I cried, curling up in her side. She hushed me, rubbing my back soothingly. "It isn't your fault, love. You had to get away from there. You didn't have a choice." She said as I cried more, the sound of the random movie playing in the background and her soothing voice and actions lulling me to sleep as I cried.
