Chapter 24, Missing

Mari:

I am in the Miracle Workers location. I've been here before but I've never seen how it's like outside Minhyuk's room. It's pretty much the same thing. White walls and white objects. People in white with white hair.

I didn't see Lee Minhyuk again.
Instead, a Miracle Worker named Seo Eunkwang picked me up this morning. Finally, I could experience the teleportation. It was nothing but black, strong air and whirling sensation. I almost vomited when we reached our destination.

When I asked about Minhyuk, Eunkwang told me that he hasn't been around for days. "Isn't there anyway you would know? I really wanna see him for the last time." I said.

He looked at me as if he wanted to say something but he just shook his head. "There's no way."

Now I'm standing in this room alone and it felt like the light was eating me wholly. I was disappearing as I walked endlessly.

The memories in my head were coming. The bad and the good. Even my tears dissolved into nothingness.

But when I closed my eyes, all I see was a pair of beautiful eyes, a warm smileㅡSungjae. Then I was alright. I was ready to go.

But Seo Eunkwang grabbed my hand and then I watched in confusion as we hurried to leave the room. The light disappeared.

We were both trying to catch our breaths.

"This has never happened before." He said.

I stared at him in confusion. "What's wrong?"

Three days later
Sungjae:

"Why was I in Japan?" I asked Namjoo. She's dragging me again to a fortune shop.

"I have no idea. You just disappeared! C'mon, do you have an amnesia? Why can't you remember why you were there?"

"It's just so weird. I was in a hotel room." And I was screaming and crying but I didn't know why my heart hurt so bad. It was breaking apart. "And I saw two plates on the table." I said.

She shook her head. "Maybe you decided to eat two servings?"

"If I ate two servings then the plates should be next to each other, not in front of each other."

"Gosh, Sungjae. I don't know!"

We entered a different fortune shop this time. The room was dimlit and fortune things were displayed on shelves. An old woman was seated in the middle of the room with cards and other things I couldn't name. She is wearing a weird costume.

I rolled my eyes. Fraud.

The fortune teller asked what we wanted to know and Namjoo told her.

"The previous fortune teller told me that there's someone for me, that I know him well but nobody has come to me yet. Was she really just lying?"

The fortune teller rang a bell with her eyes closed and then she held Namjoo's hand. I sighed.

"Your fate has changed because someone else has come for him." The old woman said.
