Alex's P. O. V.

All the teams were out on the field. "Your attention please. This is a great day for us. Each of the three task involves very considerable danger. Please keep your seats at all times. This will minimize any risks you may be exposed to. The three teams must go into the Dark Forest to find, a strand of unicorn hair, centaur hair and mermaid hair. With these three items, the team leader will be chosen. They have only two hours to complete this task. As you can see the elves are not among us anymore, they are deep in the forest hiding in the trees and bushes. Be careful. On the count of three, at the sound of the cannon, the teams will start the journey. 1...--" BANG! The cannon was shot interrupting McGonagall.

The teams started to walk into the forest. "We'll get centaur hair first," Lily said.

"Agreed," Kat and I said.

We walked deep into the forests looking for a centaur. I heard rustling, then galloping. I looked up to see Firenze, one of my centaur friend. "Hello," I greeted.

"Ah, Alex, Lily, Katie, It's a pleasure seeing you," Firenze said

"It's a pleasure meeting you too, Firenze. Can we have a strand of your hair? We're trying to complete a task," Lily said

"The Triwizard Tournament?" Firenze said.

"Yup," Katie replied.

"Ok. But first you have to answer a riddle," Firenze said.

"Bring it," I said

"What moves on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three legs at night?" He asked. Merlin! That isn't easy to answer. C'mon think! Think! Think! What's a goddamn brain for if it's not used for thinking?! Oh....

"Man. The answer is man, who crawls in infancy(four leg), walks in adulthood(two legs) and uses a cane in old age(three legs)," I said

"Are you sure?" Katie said

"Positive," I said. This was a riddle that The Sphinx asked Oedipus(A/N got this online).

"Very good young Alex, as a reward , a strand of centaur hair, it will lead you to the next creature," our face lit up. Katie was doing her happy dance. Lily was thanking Firenze. I heard a rustle. I looked up to see a figure. Elves!

"Kat. Lily. I think we should run," I said. They saw the fear in my eyes. We started running like a crazy mad baboon on the loose. I saw a boulder and quickly pulled my friends , We hid behind the boulder. "They're gone," I heard an elf said.

"Are they gone?" Lily asked. I nodded 'yes'. I heard neighing and galloping. I saw pure white unicorn with silver horn coming our way. I stood up and slowly walked towards it. It bowed. I reached out to pet it. "Hello," it greeted. It talked like I said I can talk to animals.

"Hello," I greeted back

"You understand me?" he asked. I nodded, "I'm Nester," he said.

"Nester, that's an interesting name. Nester, can we have a strand of your hair?" I asked

"It's my pleasure, mistress, but you have to tell me a unicorn poem," he said. I looked over to Katie and Lily. They were thinking hard. I closed my eyes. Letting the wind surround me, the fresh air around me. I opened my eyes.

"All that lives of legendary,"

Beauty, magic, mystery,

Gentleness and purity,

Dwells in me.

I no mate, no kin, have known,

None may claim me as his own;
