A Thousand Years (LoTR/Harry Potter)

Chapter 7

Alex's P. O. V.

Our carriage pulled up at Hogmeade's station. Lily, Katie and I got down. "So what are we going to get first?" I asked.

"Clothes!" Katie said. Lily and I replied with a simple 'Okay'. We walked, passing many shops, clearly we were window shopping. I looked to my right and caught an eye of an inhuman looking creature. I turned back only to see, wizards and witches, no nasty creature.

"Oh. My. Merlin!!!" I heard Kat squeal. Looks like a purple dress caught her eye. I walked into the shop, looking for a dress, erasing the memory of the creature out of my mind.

There were, purple, pink, green, rainbow, brown, black, blue and many various colored dresses. All of them were not my type. Most of them showed too much cleavage. Some of them were short. The quality of the dresses weren't that good too.

A rack of dresses near the cashier. I decided to see what is can find it the rack.

Too short.

Damn, it's shinny.

Eww... too much cleavage

Ugh... I don't think it'll cover my fine ass... (just kidding)

Too bright

Too colorful

I mean the dresses were beautiful but the design of the dresses were just too fancy, take for example Cinderella's ball gown with pink polka dots and black feathers sticking out of the collar and crazy zebra pattern overlaying the polka dots!

After 30 minutes of running through racks of dresses, I came across a peach colored dress. it wasn't covered with shiny stuff, it wasn't too revealing and it definitely wasn't short. It had a swirl pattern on the upper part of the body. I smiled to myself and took the dress. I made my way to the fitting room and tried it on. 

It was perfect. It had was a one shoulder strap dress. It was ankle lenght.  It hugged my curves and it was absolutely comfortable. I loved it so much. I strip out of it and changed back into my clothes.

I went out to the cashier and paid for my dress. Surprisingly it came with a circlet. I looked over to Katie. Katie probably has a hard time choosing a dress. I saw Lily sitting down on a chair fumbling with her fingers. I walked over to her.

"Lily, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing really. I'm just bored," she said.

"Why don't you choose a dress?" I ask.

"Um... okay," she said. Something was definitely wrong.

"Lily. Don't lie. I know there's something wrong. I can feel it. Tell me, what's bothering you."

"It's Scorpius. I miss him a lot. I feel defenseless. I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen. When he's here I always feel protected and I'm never insecure. But I feel well, insecure of how I'll look tonight," she said.

“Lily, you're beautiful. I will smack anybody's god damn arse if they say you look fat. And you're not defenseless, you have Katie and me." I said. She smiled.

“Thanks for making me feel better. Now let's find a dress," Lily said. I smiled and we went dress hunting again.

I ran through a rack of dresses, I felt eyes on me. I looked up to see a certain blonde headed prince. I gave him a smile. He smiled back before walking away.

"Hey Alex, how do I look?" I turned around to see a beautiful ginger in a velvet dress, ankle length. It was a one-shoulder strap dress.

"You look beautiful, very beautiful," I said.
