It's been a month since Jungkook and I started going out.
When you become a couple, aren't you supposed to get closer to the person you're with? Aren't you supposed to develop a stronger connection with them? But in our relationship, why do I feel as if that's not the case. I feel like we've gotten further apart. We barely talk to each other nowadays.
I sat on my window seat, looking out at the window. This seems like a familiar scenario. Me, waiting for Jungkook, again. Except this time, I'm waiting for him to realize that I'm not invisible. I feel like he's been ignoring me, lately.
Earlier today, I asked him if he wanted to hang out after school, but he said that he had a lot of chores around his house that needs to be done.
My phone started ringing. I checked the caller ID. It was Violet. I wonder what she could be calling about. I picked up my phone, and clicked the answer button.
"Hello? Violet?" I said into the phone.
"Oh, hey Mae." She replied.
"What are you calling about?"
"Well, I was just wondering what Jungkook wants to eat for dinner." She told me.
"Why are you asking me this? How would I know, what he wants for dinner?"
"Well aren't you with him, right now? He told me that he was with you."
"No, he's not here." I told her.
"Actually, he told me that the times that he's been late home, was because of him spending time at your house."
"Violet, I haven't talked to him, or seen him outside of school, in like a week."
"Well, if he's not at your house, then where is he? Because he's not at home. I've tried to find him everywhere."
"I don't know." What could Jungkook possibly be doing?

"Mae! Could you go get me a cup of my regular order at the nearby coffee shop?" My mother asked me.
"Yeah. Sure." I grabbed my coat, and I walked off, towards the coffee shop.
Once, I got there, I was surprised at the sight in of me. Jungkook was on stage. He was singing a song, while a guy next to him was playing the guitar.
When Jungkook was done singing, he got off of the stool that he was sitting on, and he walked off stage. All of a sudden, a girl who I've never seen before walked up to him, and gave him a hug. An intimate hug. Jungkook even smiled at her.
"Thank you, Nari." He told her.
What did he thank her for? Was he thanking her for giving him a hug? Why couldn't he go to me if he needed a hug? Was he already tired of me? Did he find me boring, and decided to find someone else?
Suddenly Jungkook saw me, and his eyes widened. "Mae! What are you doing here?" He held out his hand towards me.
But, that Nari girl took his arm and pulled him back on stage. She whispered something to him, and they both started performing a song together. Jungkook looked at me from time to time, but his main focus was on Nari.
I couldn't look at them any longer. It hurt too much to keep looking at them. I quickly ordered the drink that my mom requested. Once they gave me the cup, I sprinted home. So the reason why Jungkook started ignoring me, was because he found someone else. Someone who was better than me.
I got home, and placed my mom's drink on the table that she was working at. "Thanks Mae. Mae? Mae!"
I walked away before she could call me back. I quickly took off my coat and my shoes, and I ran upstairs to my room. I didn't bother changing out of my clothes. I just cried myself to sleep.
