Chapter 21 - Jungkook's Feelings

Today is the day that Jungkook and the other guys go to the airport, so that they can take their flight, so that they can finally begin in the performing industry, as trainees. I couldn't bring myself to go. I knew that If i went, then I would try to convince Jungkook to stay. I can't do that to him.

"Mae! There's mail for you." My mom called out to me. She came inside of my room, and dropped the big box on top of my bed. She left after that.

I tried to pick up the box. But I had a little problem with it because it was really heavy. I wonder what was inside of it, and who it was from.

I opened my eyes, and saw that it was wrapped. But there was a pink sticky note on it. I took off the sticky note, and I read it.

I promised you that you'd get to see the stars again. And I always keep my promises.

I quickly unveiled the wrapped boy. It was a telescope. A brand new one. It hasn't been opened yet.

There was also a USB in the package. There was also a note written on it.

This is a song that that guys and I are working on right now. I wanted you to get an early preview of what it sounded like. So I recorded me singing a portion of it.

I quickly connected the USB to my computer, and I clicked on the singular audio file that was on the USB.

By listening to Jungkook singing through the audio file, it felt like he was actually here. SInging to me. Like the time when we went on our first date. The time when everything felt perfect.

I noticed that something else was in the package. A letter.

As soon as I was done reading the letter, I got out of the house, and I sprinted towards the airport. My mother's car broke down, and it's not working right now. The buses that lead towards the airport, are all on the other side of town.

I just have to run to the airport. It's my only option.

Jungkook. I'm willing to try out a long-distance relationship. But only if it's with you. I'll try it out, because I can't bring myself to say goodbye to you.

Jungkook's P.O.V.

I guess that she's not going to come. I was hoping that she would though. I explained everything to her in that letter. I hope that she knows my true feelings now.

Jimin patted my back. "I'm sorry Jungkook. I really was hoping that Mae would be here to see us off."

"Dear Mae, I knows that I'm really late saying this to you. You've probably already moved on. I saw you at the coffee shop that day. I knew that you were hurt by what you saw. When I saw the hurt look on your face, I just wanted to run up to you, hold you in my arms tight, and never let you go. But I didn't. I sincerely regret that.
