I stood in front of my mirror, wearing a tank top that was almost shear, with a pair of short shorts, and my turquoise bikini underneath.
After I was down putting on sunscreen, I hopped downstairs. "Violet. What are you wearing." Okay, right now, I am a fashion police. But seriously. She was wearing a thick sweater and skinny jeans.
"What do you mean?" She asked me, confused. I pulled her upstairs, to where her room was.
"You can't wear that. You'll be sweaty all day. Do you realize how hot it is in Miami?"
She sighed. "Well, I don't have clothes like yours, which are fit for the hot temperatures."
"No worries." I ran into my room, and got out a white t-shirt and some denim shorts. Once I came back into her room, I threw it at her. "Come on. I am definitely not letting you leave this house with the clothes that you have on."
"Ugh. Fine." She held the clothes in her hands and she headed towards the bathroom to change.
When she came back out, with the clothes on, I realized that we were the same size. The clothes perfectly fit her. She tried to cover herself with her hands. "Aren't these clothes too... Racy?"
"Really? It's just a t-shirt and shorts. Well, what do you expect. It's really hot outside. You're going to be sweating all day. But those clothes look good on you. I've never seen you in this kind of light before. It's just so... Different. A good different." She smiled, and I counted that as an accomplishment. "Come on, the others are probably waiting for us."
When we got downstairs, everyone was already dressed in their beach outfits. My mother had the stuff that she and I needed. Towels. Emergency girl products. Magazines.
Jungkook glared at me. "Why did you make my innocent sister dress like this?"
I chucked. "Why? Are you jealous that you're not a girl that can wear these type of clothes?"
I stuck my tongue out at him. "Come on children. We wouldn't want to waste our time inside all day, would we?" Phoebe suggested that we should get to the beach as soon as possible.
All of us started heading out the door and walking towards the beach. It didn't take that long, because the beach was right next to our house.
As soon as we found the perfect spot to rest, we layed down our towels on the sand, and we set up the beach umbrella.
Phoebe and my mother laid on their towels, but I stood standing. "Why aren't you going to lay down, Mae?" Phoebe asked me.
I smiled brightly. "I just wanted to get in the water early."
My mother tensed. "Did you put on your sunscreen?"
I sighed. "Yes mother." I took off my my shorts and top so that I could be left in my turquoise bikini. I noticed Jungkook staring at... Somewhere. "Uh. My eyes are up here, Jungkook." I pointed towards my eyes.
He shook out of his trance and yanked my shirt away from my hand. A mischievous smirk grew on his face. "When you ready, come and get it!" He started running away with it.
This is no time for quoting lyrics, Jungkook. UGH. I chased him all the way down the beach, that is, until he decided to go into the water. "Don't get my shirt wet!"
He didn't have anything to worry about, since he took his shirt off earlier, and he was wearing a pair of swimming trousers.
I was right behind him. That was when I, so subtly, decided to jump on his back. But my plan failed, and we both fell forward into the water.
