"Mae, are you ready to go on stage?" My best friend, Charlotte asked me, as I was looking at myself in the mirror.
"Yeah. Hopefully this play is a huge success. Phoebe Jeon is in the audience. She directed most of my favourite films, like Friday Mishap, and Matchmaker From Heaven. I just want to meet her standards of acting skills." I replied to my brunette friend.
"I've seen your acting skills. You'll do great."
I heard heaps of claps coming from the other room. "Oh no. It's my scene next. Is my dress ripped? Is my hair okay?"
"You're fine. Go. Go on stage. It's your moment to shine." Charlotte smiled at me.
I nodded and started walking until I was right behind the curtains. Breathe in. Breathe out.
I stepped forward when the curtains flew open.

"That was awesome. It actually felt like your character, Olivia, had taken over you." Charlotte complimented me.
I felt someone walking towards me from behind. "Excuse me, could I speak with you for a second?" Phoebe Jeon!
"Okay. Yeah. Sure." I replied in between deep breaths.
"I'm Phoebe Jeon." She introduced herself.
"I know! Uh... I mean, I'm Mae Evans." I introduced myself back.
"I saw you performance out there. And might I say, you were magnificent." She smiled at me with her pearly white teeth.
"That means a lot. Especially coming from someone like you." I confessed.
"Well anyways, Mae, I was wondering if you would like to attend my school. It's Stonewall's School Of The Arts."
"Yes! It's always been my dream to attend Stonewall's Arts School." I guess that I'm a little too excited.
"Here's my card" Phoebe handed me her card. "Call this number, and we'll get you set up at the school."

That was yesterday. But, now stood in front of my full body length mirror, looking at myself in my new school uniform, that was dropped off yesterday. I am officially ready for my first day of Stonewall's School Of The Arts.
"Mae, come down for breakfast!" My mother yelled from downstairs. I picked up my black coloured bag and quickly rushed downstairs.
I sat on one of the stools that were in front of the countertop. My mother placed a plate in front of me. The plate consisted of an omelette and two pieces of toast that I could tell were baked in the oven.
"Mom, you know I don't like mushrooms in my omelettes." I complained about the dish in front of me.
"It's good for you to try new things, Mae." My mother replied.
"I like my life, just as it is." I said and began picking the mushrooms out of the omelette.
"Teenagers these days." My mother shook her head and continued sweeping the floor with a broom.
I heard a car horn blow outside the house. "Who's that?" I asked.
"My friend from work has a son that also goes to Stonewall's Arts School, so I thought that he could show you around the school." My mother replied.
"Okay. I'll get going now." I stood up from the stool and slung my backpack over my shoulder.
As soon as I opened the door, my brown eyes also met brown ones. "Hi, I'm Jimin." The guy in front of me said.
