"Jimin!" I jumped into his arms. "I missed you over the break."
"Yeah. Me too. My family went to a ski lodge. Let's just say, I was really sore by the end of the trip." I giggled at his words.
I saw Tara and her friend walk by us. "Hey have you heard? There's a new student here. She's at the main office right now." They gossiped with each other.
I turned back to Jimin. "New student? I have to go meet them." I told him.
"You can go. I have to get early to class, today." I nodded at him and I swiftly walked down the hallway towards the main office.
Tara and her friend were right. There was a new student. It was a girl. She was already wearing our school uniform for girls. I could only see her back, since she was facing the principal of our school. But she had really long, dark brown hair. It looked very familiar.
When she turned around, my eyes widened when I realized who it was. Why was she here?
"Mae?" A huge smile spreaders on her face. "I haven't seen you in such a long time. I missed you."
"What are you doing here, Charlotte?" I was too in shock to do anything else.
She linked her arm in mine, and I walked her out of the office. "Well you know how I was always hesitant when it came to singing?" I nodded. "Well, my teacher signed me up for the school concert, and I got a lot of good feedback. So, I auditioned for this school, and here I am."
"Okay. Well, what class do you have first?" I asked her.
She took out her schedule and looked at it. "Dance."
"Same. Get ready for having sore feet for the rest of the week." We both giggled at that.

After we changed into our dance clothes, we started warming up. "Hey, who's that?" Charlotte asked me.
She was pointing at someone on the other side of the room. I turned my head to see who she was looking at. My eyes widened again when I was who she was looking at. Jungkook.
As crazy as it is for me to say this, I haven't spoken to him since Christmas Eve. I still had the necklace that he gave me. In fact, it was dangling around my neck right now. It just didn't feel right to take it off.
"Oh. That's Jungkook." It felt so weird to say his name after that incident.
"He's really cute." I felt my heart sting when she said that. "You seem to know him pretty well. Could you introduce me to him?"
I nodded. "Yeah sure." This won't be awkward at all. We both walked over to Jungkook. I could feel my heart pounding with every step that I took closer to him. "Hi, Jungkook. I want to introduce you to my friend Charlotte." I kept my head down, so that I couldn't see his face.
"Hi." He said. I couldn't see what his reaction was. So since I was curious, I lifted my head to see his face. His face was completely blank.
Charlotte made a conversation with him though. He glanced Charlotte, time to time. But, I could sense that his main focus was on me.
"Oh hey. I have to take this call." Charlotte took out her phone, which was ringing, and she walked out of the room. That left me alone with Jungkook.
"Are you avoiding me?" He asked me.
"What? Of course not. Why would you ask that?" Of course I'm avoiding you, Jungkook. I just don't know what to say after that what happened that night.
"Oh." That was a simple reply. "Don't you have to practice for the play after school?"
"Yeah. Now that I can see Jimin, I can finally practice my lines with him. Thanks for taking his place during the vacation." I gave him a grateful smile. In fact, I swore that I could see a tint of sadness in his eyes.
