Interviewing The Wattpaders![And Crazy Challenges]

My First Interview! @MuskaanTaskeen

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu!

So this is going to be my first ever Interview! And my first pick is...

MuskaanTaskeen!!

She is a writer on Wattpad, and she have published only one book and that is Alnihayya.

I must say her book is the most amazing one I've ever read on wattpad. It is my favourite book and for me, Alnihayya is unbeatable book in my library! Masha Allah!

So let's get to the Interview...

#1|How did you discover Wattpad?

muskaansmiles|I was 12 time, and I was going through depression. Mainly because no matter how much hard I tried, I could not fit in to the social media standards of being 'cool'. In the end, I gave up on Facebook and tried finding a social network which was suitable for a nerd like me.

Hence Wattpad!

I learnt a very important thing though, that even though I hated being in depression, if I had never gone through that stage, I would've never found wattpad! That's how beautiful Qadr of Allah is.

So you basically have Zeyara because a 12 years old Muskaan, somewhere in the world, got depressed. :D

#2|What inspired you to write?

muskaansmiles|Ohh this one is interesting! So basically I loved doing poetry as a kid. Once I wrote a silly poem for my mom in my own language Urdu.

Which translates something like ;

From far away I thought there was a torch,
When I came near it was my mothers face..

*hides in embarrassment*

But my mother seemed to like that joke of a poem and then my parents kept motivating me. :)

#3|What is your favourite book on Wattpad?

muskaansmiles|Ahh! That's such a difficult question.
I've read so many amazing books on wattpad that made me say Masha Allah for the author's creativity, but my favourite book is still not here.

Someone needs to write it down!

But if we don't consider novels, then my fav would be "The Fitnah of Islamic Stories" by @TheStraightPath .
Ps, if you're considering in writing a Muslim story, I would suggest you read that book.

#4|Who is your favourite Author on Wattpad?

muskaansmiles|Forget authors, I have favourite readers!! I could write a whole book for my readers! I want to list them all here but I'm not going to spam your interview book. 😁

#5|How was your reaction when you recieved your first ever comment?

muskaansmiles|I WAS SO HAPPY! I remember just getting maybe 2 votes and a few comments at firdt and I was already dreaming of becoming a professional writer!
You know much like how people see an attractive person and they start planning their wedding with them? It was like that for me.

(Not that I plan my wedding in my mind!)

#6|Would you release your book in future?

muskaansmiles|Yesssssss! In sha Allah!

I can't wait to publish Alnihayya this year. It would be a dream come true! And I'll be able to hold my book in my hand!!!!

*squeals*

You all will have to buy it okay? 😑

#7|What would you do if someone copy your work?

muskaansmiles|A Vietnamese website actually published Alnihayya. I wouldn't have even known if one of my readers had not informed me. Thankfully the website was blocked! I mean I sit here looking like an idiot while tapping on my iPad for hours trying to come up with a good plot, and then someone else gets the money out of it? NO WAYYYY. I would rather take the money and buy all my readers an ice cream!

#8|What is your response to hate comments?

muskaansmiles|Feeling really bad? But then the friends I made on wattpad,the love I got. Especially being called a 'favourite author' from people who are AMAZING!!! And they know who they are, makes me feel so happy Alhamdulillah that nothing else matters.

#9|What is your advice to the writers on Wattpad?

muskaansmiles|I'VE BEEN CONSIDERED WORTHY ENOUGH TO GIVE AN ADVICE!! Yayyyyyy!

My advice would be,don't just write, make friends.

Otherwise you'll get so bored that you would feel like quitting time and again. But if you make a chatterbox friend like

Or a motivational one like

Lubbaina

Or who will never stop wishing you luck or someone you can look up to and wish to see everyday like

missy_symina

or someone who crosses borders to get ice cream like

Or Who lives in a holiday destination like malsa13112 .

Then you know you have actually achieved the best out of this app. :)

#10|Finally. Do you find writing on Wattpad useful?

muskaansmiles|YES! I have English as a subject and it honestly helps a lot. I had to write a story for one of the questions. I had to stop myself from writing a whole novel right here .😅
