Interviewing The Wattpaders![And Crazy Challenges]

Interview! @petrified_

petrified_ was a different kind of writer and someof her readers requested me to interview her. I'm glad i did :)

1).How did you discover Wattpad?

petrified_: My older sister told me about it.

2).What inspired you to write?

petrified_: The fact that thousands of people take pride in indulging in the art of writing through Wattpad, and so easily! I thought maybe I'd have fun with it, and it turned out to change my life so, so much, and in a positive way!

3).What is your favourite book on Wattpad?

petrified_: Operation : Dard and Devotion by sprinkleofhayat , I cried when I read it. I've already read it thrice! Although my reading lists have all the other books that I have loved reading, you can check them out.

4).Who is your favourite Author on Wattpad?

petrified_: There's many, including  hayatiofparadise  hepburnettes DuniyaKiEkMusafir isabelleronin KittyCrackers . . . the list is long.

5).How was your reaction when you recieved your first ever comment?

petrified_: "Did you really just say that? Did you really - no, wait, what?! Was that really your reaction to something that I wrote? Did you really LIKE it?! May Allah give you Jannah! May Allah bless you with success and obedient children!"

6).Would you release your book in future?

petrified_: I would love to, and I'll be blessed if I am able to! I will try in sha Allah.

7).What would you do if someone copied your work?

petrified_: Cry. I have spent all that is in me to produce what I did. Taking it away will cause nobody any harm, but it will break my heart unmeasurably. My book is my baby, don't take it away!

8).What is your response to hate comments?

petrified_: Alhamdulillah I have never received any as yet! It terrifies me to think of them anyhow.

9).What is your advice to the writers on Wattpad?

petrified_: I don't tell everyone this, but it's fact that 90% of praises for my writing are actually expression of appreciation for my characters. Reality. Everyone likes real characters. Even though almost nothing described in my book The Muslim Baby ever happens to people everyday, the book was loved because my characters were likable people, and that is because they are real; they have humanity, and they have flaws. I think that's what I should tell everyone, because I  believe that's what people like the most about my book (except for the baby. The baby is way more adorable than the flaws of my other characters!)

10).Finally,do you find writing on Wattpad useful?

petrified_: Yes. Very very very very very very very very very useful, because I can know what people like about my story, characters and writing style, and I can fix things very easily after that, and it's just very convenient for me. I think Wattpad is a gift from the heaven sent to me.

11).Your favourite Reader?

petrified_: Every single one of those readers who take the time to vote on the book. I know that there's people who forget to vote because they are so engrossed in reading, (it's huge for a writers ego, that statement), but after everything else, the writer wants to be given something in return for your enjoyment. When people vote, we know they liked it, and unless you're an author too, you have no idea how good that feels, people!

And then there's that special species of readers who comment *sighs dreamily* those are the people that make writing worth it. Telling us what you think of our work is literally the kindest thing you can ever do, even if it's just a sentence or two after each chapter.
