48: saying the wrong thing at the wrong time

I was once giving a presentation to my class about the uses of native plants, I meant to say native Americans commonly used this plant for tea and scents. But the night before I had been up all night studying for the presentation that I didn't get much sleep. So I ended up saying they used the plant for insect. I had to stand there awkwardly until the laughter died down. The one good thing that came out of it was, I got an A.
