Three months later....
The day of the surgery.
It was a dark, raining and cold day. I was too sick to go to school today so I went to visit my girlfriend, Sophie at the hospital accompanied by my mom.
On the way to the hospital, my mom bought beautiful pink roses for Sophie.After driving for thirty minutes, my mother and I sat at the waiting room. We sat patiently for a couple of hours then we entered Sophie's room. Sophie looked paler than ever with tubes all over and her oxygen mask over her face. Holding back my tears, I ran up to her then kissed Sophie on her cheeks.
"Honey, this is for you," I said while giving her the roses I bought for her. Sophie gave me a bright smile and said with a shallow voice,"Kaleb you're so sweet."
"Kaleb, if I go I don't want you to forget me, okay?""I won't."
"That's a promise okay."
"I promise." Then she held my hand and I smiled at her. It was time for Sophie's surgery. Doctors came into the her room as I exited the room. I slowly walked to my mom, I started crying into her shoulders.
"I don't want her to leave... She's beautiful and young."
"Aww, sweetheart don't cry. Everything is going to be alright. Let's go home before you get more sick." We both went into the car while the rain started to fall. Mom turned on the radio and sad songs started playing. What a coincidence !Here is one song that played...
