Chapter 16

Alexis Pov

"Why did he do that?" Kendra asked as we all sat in the hospital, waiting to meet Jeff.

"I don't know." I replied as a nurse walked towards us.

"You guys can go now, just be very careful." She said.

We all entered Jeff's room and saw that he was unconscious. He saved me. It would of been me lying their. I asked my friends if I can talk to him alone so they all came out.

I ran up to Jeff and sobbed,"I'm sorry what happened to you Jeff, you mightn't hear me but I hope you would be fine. I wish you would say something. Please. "

"Uh...hi" he said softly. "Did Travis get away?"

"Oh you're awake. No, he was caught. Hey Jeff"

"Hello."

"Thanks for saving me. It was nice of you but why did you?"

"You see Alexis, I hate people like him and I wanted to punch him, not noticing that he had a knife in his hand. I ran up to him, looked down and saw I was stabbed. "

"Jeff. You're funny. You know that right. When something is boring you make it fun. That's why I like you and don't get things wrong alright?"

"Alright." He chuckled. "Alexis  Want to... Tell you that... I .. I"

"Jeff?"

"Beep...... Beep..... Beep......"  The monitor went and nurses rush in.
They told me I must come out of the room immediately so I obeyed. For hours, I sat at the hospital while my friends left. I decided I should go home so I got up and headed out the hospital's door. I looked back and saw a doctor running up to me.

"Miss. Wait." I stopped and the doctor came up to me with a sad look in his eyes and said, "Alexis, sorry to tell you this but you're friend didn't make it."
I didn't know what to say, i stood there, frozen.

"Miss? Are you alright?" He said snapping at me.

"Oh. Yes, I'm alright. I got to go." I said holding back my tears. I called my friends and told them what happened then went home.

It's all happening again. My sad days. I felt so angry and sad at the same time. I lied on my bed trying to sleep.
I got up went downstairs to make some coffee. Suddenly, I heard banging on my door.

"Open the door!" The voice said. "Let me in! I wouldn't hurt you" the voice continued. I looked outside my door and saw Travis standing their. I was scared so I didn't let him in.

"How did you escape prison?" I shivered in fear. Suddenly the door unlocked.

"You just like to ditch friends. You don't care about anyone but yourself." He said coming closer and closer with a horrible grin on his face. He pulled the knife and stabbed me then I woke up, sweating.

"It's just a bad dream. Calm down, Alexis. I better invite Kaleb and Kendra over. I grabbed my phone and called them. They both said they would be on their way. After a couple of minutes, they arrived.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" Kendra said.

"Would you like to have a sleepover?" I smiled

"It's the middle of the night Alexis. We're leaving." Kaleb said

"Wait, don't leave!" I shouted. "I had a bad dream and I wanted company. Would you stay please."

"Oh, of course. How about we watch a movie."Kendra suggested.

"Sounds great." I smiled

"I'll make the popcorn!" Kaleb said running towards the kitchen. Then we all sat down watching a movie together. We were laughing for the whole movie because it was hilarious. After we chatted for a while we fell asleep on the couch.
