Chapter 11

Vanessa's Party
Friday night

Vanessa's party is a huge event and the whole school will be their. She's popular, who would want to miss it. Her party was at her boyfriend, Lucas's house.

"Let's get this party started!" Jefferson yelled then everyone started screaming and partying.

I saw my friends standing inside, talking to each other so I went to join them.

"Hey guys." I started "Enjoying the party?"

"Yeah!" They all responded.

Kendra POV

"I heard a gorilla escaped the zoo. I guess I found it, it's sitting right in front of me." A voice said. Recognising the voice I can tell it's Alexis.

I immediately got up and said,
"Do you annoy people as your hobby? Or is it your personality?

"Ohhhhhh!!" A crowd of people shouted, gathering us in a circle.

"Oh, I'm sorry was I meant to be offended cause the only thing succeeded to offend me is your face. I bet you're mother is ugly too."

"Oh wait, you don't have one." her partner said jumped in.

"Nice one Travis!" She said, pump- fisting him.

"Don't you ever talk about my mother again! You worthless piece of junk." I got my guitar and ran outside the house. I started sobbing. "Stupid girls!" I thought.

I got my guitar and started playing.

"Wow, you're amazing." A boy said to me.

"My name is Kaleb and you sing and play very well."

"Oh, you're that guy I met at lunch and I'm sorry for moving you away."

"It's fine. You're Kendra right?"

"Yeah."

"Are you okay? Alexis is really mean."

"Yeah, I'm alright. I just really miss my mother and she just insulted her."

Then we talked for hours. We shared our sad stories in our past and laughed at a couple jokes he shared. It was a fun night. He was my only true friend.

"Oh, hey guys I didn't know you guys were here." Vanessa said with Lucas beside her.

"I'm sorry if I interrupted." She continued.

"No, it was fine. I was just going anyways" then I got up and leave.

"Kendra wait up!" He said. "Do you think we can talk tomorrow?"

"Sure." Then I wrote my number on a piece of paper. "Here, take this I'll talk to you later." I gave him my number and went inside.

"Hey girl. How are you?" Issac said to me while getting closer.

"Back away!" I shouted

"Hey chill ax. I won't hurt you. Unless you want me to." He said winking.

"You perverted, drunk idiot! Leave me the flick alone or I'll kick you. I swear."

"You're so cute when you're mad." He said grabbing my hand, I pulled him away and kicked him in his stomach causing him to fall. "I'll see you-- at school-- Monday." He said panting.

I quickly when outside and texted my dad.

Kendra: Dad please pick me up now.

Dad: Okay I'll come soon as possible. Is everything alright?

Kendra: yep :)

After waiting for ten minutes, my dad came to pick me up. He dropped me home then I went on my bed and fell asleep.

The next day I woke up it was raining heavily so I put on some music when Kaleb texted me.

Kaleb: Good morning, Kendra.

Kendra: hey, good morning.

Kaleb: Why did you leave early at the party yesterday?

Kendra: Some guy started to annoy me. I think his name is Issac.

Kaleb: oh, Issac, he's my cousin. He's after every girl at school. Even Alexis. One time he asked her out and her friend, Travis almost killed him.

Kendra: Oh my!

Kaleb: Yeah, you shouldn't mess with those trouble makers. They'd beat you up.

Kendra: Hey, I'm goanna make breakfast. I'll talk to you later.

Kaleb: Okay, bye.

I got out of bed and made some pancakes for breakfast.

"Makeus Pancakeus!" I said pretending the pancake would cook itself.

"Nope, not goanna happen." I chuckled then sat at the couch, eating pancakes.
