Chapter 5

Dantooine, Jedi Enclave

Over a week after Jax's Return

Sitting at the highest peak of the Jedi Enclave Ashabellanar meditates just a few feet above its surface. There is no emotion, only Peace. There are no passion, only serenity, she silently chants, though the phrases themselves feel hallow to her. Sensing him through the Force Ashabellanar ignores Master Zhar's arrival. "You know you were told to stay in the Enclave," He reminds her.

"I was told to stay at it. Not in it." She remotely retorts choosing to keep her meditation.

At this Master Zhar lightly chuckles, "Always so keen. Always testing your limits."

"Limits are meant to be challenged. It is how we gauge our skill. How we advance." You assertively reply, knowing within yourself that your words are true.

This answer you sense though causes Master Zhar unease. Even he doubts me, you forlornly think. You weren't sure why yet but you knew other Masters felt the same way. Something about you, something from your past always seemed to keep them ill at ease. And that something I will fully discover. Ferox has already seen to the first part for me.... That though would mean nothing depending on those certain Masters. You weren't stupid after all. You knew many of them; especially Master Vrook feared you. Master Zhar was one of the few who liked you, hence why he was selected no doubt to tell you their verdict. Sensing another's arrival to the roof you lightly frown knowing no doubt what that would mean. Rising to your full height while still hovering several feet above with the Force you open your eyes. So it's to be Jax then. Fitting I suppose.... "So it's to be that then," you softly declare to Master Zhar and your new arrival. "Are we to depart right away?"

Dantooine, Jedi Enclave

Over a week after his return

Arriving on the roof you watch Ashabellanar rise to her feet, only she was actually several feet above the roofs summit. "So it's to be that then," she softly whispers. "Are we to depart right away?"

We? Do I have a mission with her?

Turning she angles herself towards Master Zhar. "Am I to be sent to a more 'suitable' location?" She inquires oddly stressing the word. "Tatooine or Ilium perhaps?"

Why would we go there?

When Master Zhar doesn't respond you sense her truly disappear from herself. She was still there, in the Force, but she'd become well...void of, anything, perhaps. "Ah, to Coruscant. I see." Pushing back her robes she reveals the Lightsaber at her side. "Am I to give you this now Master?" The Agricultural Corps? Wait, no she fears imprisonment. You disbelievingly think realizing suddenly what she's implying. Master Vandar after all had mentioned it...her fearing the Counsel's gilded cage.

Across from you Master Zhar shakes his head and steps towards her. "No Tavers."

"I see." Turning towards you Ashabellanar reveals a face matching the emptiness you sense. "When you're ready."

"Tavers I'm..." You begin for once speechless but she interjects with halfhearted smile.

"I know..."

"No Tavers, I'm not...."

"He's not here for you Ashabellanar," Master Zhar interjects, halting her in her tracks. "Master Vandar was right about her..." You catch him quickly muttering to himself. "You both," he adds gesturing to you as well. "Did nothing wrong. What Jax's business here is I do not know but you're not being sent away again. In fact..." He pauses and you can sense his hesitation. "I have a mission for you."
