Chapter 26
Dantooine, Jedi Enclave
Three Months three weeks after Jax's original return
Sitting at the top of the Enclave you place your hands gently on your stomach and sense the tiny flicker of life within you. A son, you and Jax, no Revan. Something would make him change his name to Revan were expecting a son. Oh, by the Force you were with child in a Jedi Enclave and he was gone. Worse, war was coming. A war so terrible that he'd thought to sacrifice himself and millions more to end it. Including your own son and the one you'd told him yourself was within your belly before you'd woken alone in his room with only Master Vandar at your side. "No," you bitterly whisper clenching your hands. "I'll won't allow it." You swear aloud. "Visions can be changed. I'll ensure it never unfolds. Send others if I must," You vow rising to your feet. "Even if I must start the war myself to ensure it."
Fueled by your emotions you pace, " then Cathar...it starts there. With the mask I made. He'll bare it, I know that now. He'll rally the others to his cause; he'll revanchist for the Republic. But first..." You pause, and for a moment unease envelopes you. "He'll need a catalyst and I...I must leave before it's too late and the Masters discover Vidar." Schooling yourself you steel your resolve before leaping off the Enclaves roof and rushing off towards your fate.
Dantooine, Khoonda City
Two months and 2 weeks after Torian's failed Jaik'ran
Moving determinedly through town, Khal scowls. A little over two months had passed since Torian's failed Jaik'ran and even less they'd discovered she was a lost. Since then your ner vod's mood at the best of times was dark, no doubt thanks to those accursed sabers he would not part with, and truth be told yours was no better. This mission had been cursed the moment Psylor had laid eyes on that damn Inya'kin. Even the departure of that damn Vu'traat nearly a month ago had not cleansed it. And you had most certainly toasted to his departure and those of his brothers. Freedon though.... Stilling, a scowl crosses your lips. "I can sense you Inya'kin," you spit causing her to appear a short distance behind you in a secluded alley.
Stalking towards her, your aggravation rises.
"Vod," she begins but you shake your head.
"I am not your vod, you aruetii (traitor)."
"I know you're angry Khal, but...."
Slamming her swiftly against the wall you shove your arm into her neck and press. "I should kill you right now!" You snarl. "After everything you've..."
"I'm with child!" She gasps stilling your words and causing you to hesitate. Impossible... you think in disbelief, but you could almost hear the desperation in her words. No, you mentally argue, jutting your other arm forward and pressing it firmly against her stomach. A move you doubted you'd land a mere month ago. She's not lying, you numbly think, feeling the slight tension beneath your fingers.
"You're yaihadla?!" You shout in disbelief dropping her to the ground and gaining yourself a hesitant nod as she draws a ragged breath.
Releasing a slew of Mandalorian curses you eye her distastefully and begin to pace. Pregnant, she was bloody yaihadla. No wonder the Vu'traat and their brother had left her three weeks ago! I had thought it was for a mission, one they'd yet returned from but this?! Recalling Nala's words you swear again. Is this what she meant?! That this aruetii would ask... Stilling, your eyes narrow as a realization pops to mind. "Who's?" You demand striding forward. "That Vu'traat or Torian's?!" You snap, seeing her uncertainty at your question. "Answer me woman! And do not think to lie and say there was only one!" You add.
