Epilogue

Coruscant, Coruscant City

One year after Jax's original return

Slamming your first against the table you curse out loud, startling several of the Masters. Althir III, just as she had warned! "I told you they'd start in the outer worlds and work in!" You accusingly remind glaring at several of the Masters.

"Jedi do not involve themselves in the affairs of others," Master Kavar stoically reminds, used to your outbursts from you time as his apprentice.

"They're coming for Cathar next, then the republic," you warn. "Will we still do nothing then?! I thought we were the protectors of galaxy?!" You bellow.

"Know this you do? This you have seen?" Master Vandar inquires. Pushing away from the table in disgust you shake your head.

"No, Asha did," You grind out. The event of her death/disappearance still fresh in your mind.

<flashback>

You'd been in training when it hit you, a pain like no other near your shoulder and a gut dropping sensation of loss. So much so that you had screamed before passing out from it, scaring the younglings you'd been giving lessons too. When you'd awoken hours later, Alek and Master Kreia had been by your side.

"Jax, this came for you child," she simply stated placing a box beside you but her presence in the Force was sorrowful.

"Master what...?" You'd begun but she just closed her eyes and shook her head before leaving. Turning your gaze briefly to Alek you instinctively picked up the box you'd been given. "Asha," you mutter sensing her Force presence without even glancing at who'd' it come from.

Opening it, an ominous feeling had surrounded you as you stared at its contents, a holorecording, a kyber crystal and piece of her hair. "What...?" You questioned aloud unsure of why'd you'd been sent this. Pulling out the holorecording you pressed play and the image of a very anxious Asha appeared before you.

"Jax," she greeted and a feeling of dread pressed against you from the Force. "A war is coming and soon. I've told you this before and you...you heard my plea to Revan." She states casting a nervous glance over her shoulder. "It will start soon, first in the outer rim where we both came from, then spread inwards. Cathar, there's something there Jax. I'm... I'm going to convince Kavar to go, I must. If not, I'll manage alone. There is something there to learn, I sense it. I..." Asha closes her eyes and shake her head. "Mandalore the Ultimate... he will be your destiny. I've seen it. Seen you rally Jedi to its cause. You must take up a new mantle and revanchist back the Republics losses. It's why you were always in my visons. You are pivotal Jax, without you...." She pauses and releases a nervous breath. "I will join you when I'm able. If I'm able," she'd ominously corrected, sending a chill of dread down your spine.

No, you'd remembered thinking as you'd lurched to your feet. "There is something coming for me. I can sense its darkness. It's why this could not wait. Just...." She bit her lip. "Use the gift I send with this. The crystal is powerful. And if something happens to me. Find the one who wished the title Riduur then my true one, for you know who'd truly hold that title if you put your mind to it. Remember all I've told you, all you've seen. It will guide you when you claim your new mantle."

She finishes but you barely hear it having already whirled on Alek. "Where is she!?" You'd demanded, knowing in your soul something had occurred.

"Tavers is gone," Alek had slumped his shoulders as he raised his tired gaze to meet yours. "There was an attack at the outer markets. Those Mandalorians," Alek had distastefully spit. "They attacked her and Master Zhan. Did something to her so she couldn't fight properly. When others arrived, they found Master Zhan unconscious and she was gone. She'd been stabbed in the chest before they took her. Master Zhan witnessed it..." ..." A look of unease passeed Alek's face. "From his description I..." he uncomfortabely swollows. "Think it was Torian."

<End Flashback>

"Told us nothing of this," Master Vandar informs causing you to scoff in disgust.

"Jax, she was my Padawan. I feel her loss just as much as..," Master Kavar begins before suddenly cutting off. Pressing his hand against his head Master Kavar stiffens but you barely notice as your body locks in agony.

"Kavar! Jax!" Several of the Master's call out sensing both your distress. Gritting your teeth, your body convulses but refuses to fall. The agony was horrific so horrific...oh gods you felt like you were dying.

"Jax!" Asha's voice unexpectedly screams in agony at you through the Force, knocking your breath away.

"She was still alive," Master Kavar breathlessly whispers, his eyes wide in astonished horror as her pain suddenly evaporates. "By the Force, the Mandalorans had my Padawan. I'm so sorry child." He appolgizes to her. "I should've listened when he said still felt your presence in the Force," he whispers as his eyes fall upon Jax's prone form.

Planet of Cathar.

Three years after his original return

Stepping onto the Cathar with your Crusaders you scowl as a residual wave of fear and violence wash over you in the force.

"What is this?" One of your fellow Jedi demands, unable to fathom the violence before you.

"It's genocide," you somberly state, clenching your fist.

"Just like Tavers said," Alek mumbles at your side.

"Yes," you grind out feeling something move under your foot. Glancing down your heart stills at the sight before you. A Mandalorian mask painted in black and red and a few strands of long intricately braided red hair beside it near a body of a lone female Mandalorian.

Reaching down you pick it up and a rush of emotions course through you. Its wearer had fought against this atrocity and paid with her life. Asha, you inwardly think closing your eyes in remembrance of this mask's creator, her Force energy still faintly upon the mask. She'd created it years ago on Dantooine with another, you remembered them both so clearly. How this Mandalorian had gotten it you'd never know but you did remember Asha's words. Now it was time to finally take up the new mantle she'd foreseen all those years ago.

"I don't know your name," you proclaim aloud to the mask and your men. "But I take up your cause. I will not remove your mask until there is justice! Until the Mandalorians have been defeated once and for all. So swears.... Revan!" You proclaim, finally realizing after all this time what she'd meant you to do and who Revan had been. Placing the mask upon your face a faint smile graces your lips. I'm coming Riduur, you inwardly vow refusing to believe she was dead. And together will defeat the ones who did this. To you and to the Republic, you swear.
