After a couple of hours working on the roof with the repair men, Aphmau returned to her usual spot on the roof watching over the children of the junior high. The children were so excited that instead of running to the busses, they ran to the Hooded Woman and started asking questions.

"Where did you go?" One would ask.

"How do you get up there so swiftly?" Another commented. The questions kept coming and soon, after a couple minutes, the Hooded Women had answered all the questions and the children went to the busses, but one didn't. One child stayed behind, looking at the Hooded Women.

"You might want to catch the bus to get home." Aphmau said lightly chuckling. The kid nodded and ran off to his bus.

The next couple day were the same, come to school, help the workers, watch the children and leave. But that one child always stayed behind a little longer than the others, and everyday Aphmau would tell him to get to his bus before he missed it. And everyday, the kid would do as instructed. Until one day...

Aphmau's P.O.V.

I did my daily routine and went to the junior high and helped the worker fix the roof, and watch the kids as they all left the building, always gleaming at the sight of me. I wish someday I have children just as happy as they are. I would always think to myself. But there was always a boy who stayed behind and stood on the sidewalk and stare at me. He never said anything, he just stared. I would always remind him to get on the bus before he missed it, and he always would. But one day, I jumped down from the roof of the junior high and started to walk to the direction of the woods. I heard a crack before I even entered and quickly looked around to see if it was me or someone else. It was obviously someone else seeing as there were no sticks around me. But, who could it have been? All the other children had left and I always wait half an hour before going in the woods just to make sure that all the students who cut through the woods were gone, and they always were. I peeked around a tree and there stood, the boy who would always stay behind the other students and stare at me.

"What are you doing here?" I lightly laughed trying not to come off as rude.
