The chaos and the calm

Red velvet brownies

I woke up to Brennan watching tv.
"Good morning sleepy head" he said with a smile on his face. He was always a morning person but somehow he could always stay up if someone needed him.
"What time is it?" I moaned and wiped my tires eyes.
"11:30" he said looking at his watch on his left wrist.
I stood up and walked to the bathroom. I felt dizzy and things were blurry. I can't see everything's black and I couldn't feel or see when I hit the ground. I woke up about 30 seconds after to brennan.holding a cold rag to my forehead and calling my doctor. When he saw my eyes flutter open he let out a sigh and his back fell against the wall.
"You scared me half to death Annie" he laughed still breathing heavy from the mini freak out.
"I nearly actually died thank you very much!"
We both laughed and my doctor finally picked up and Brennan put it on speaker.
" hello is this mr. Long?" He asked into the phone.
"Julianna???" He replied then I realized that Brennan had taken my phone. I tried to laugh silently but I barley succeeded. And neither did Brennan.
"No no this is Brennan" he said with a slight giggle.
" Brennan who?"
"Brennan Donnelly"
"Are you related?"
"No I'm her boyfriend"
I smiled at him when he used that word. He smiled back. He held my hand and they continued talking.
"Oh ok what the problem mr. Donnelly?"
"Well Annie fainted in the bathroom a few minutes ago she was only out for 30 seconds or so. I put a rag on her head and she seems to be fine should we come in?"
"If she's feeling ok then I wouldn't make you come down here but take it easy today make sure she gets some rest and if anything significant happens then we can see her."
"Ok sounds good thank you"
" thank you too"
Brennan hung up the phone and brushed the hair out of my face. He kissed my forehead and a smile grew on my face. I layed there. He sat there. And that lasted around half an hour til I had the strength to get back up. He had to help me of coarse we layed on his bed mindlessly watching tv.
"Well this is boring" I say.
"Yup"
"Lets do something"
"Food??"
"You read my mind" we laughed and made our way to the kitchen. He looked in the pantry.
"Something exiting not just a store bought cookie" I laughed.
"Hmm" he said stoking his chin like people would in old movies. "Spaghetti, cereal, bread..." he gasped and turned around to look at me.
"What?"
"Red velvet brownies"
"YES" I nearly yelled. "I haven't had those since like my 7th birthday" I laughed.
I poured the mix into a big bowl. Then I felt an egg crack over the top of my head and laughing coming from behind me.
"You did not!!" I laughed and pour about a half cup of mix that was still in the bag right in his face.
He gasped and we laughed uncontrollably then out of the corner of my eye I saw Brennan's mother with her arms crossed staring Brennan in the eyes tryin to hold back a smile. I was thinking she would scold us or lecture us at the least. But all she let out was.
"You guys are cute" as she turned around I saw a smile on her face. Once she was out of sight me and Brennan looked at each other and started laughing like crazy.
