More Hospital Visits

I wake up the next morning, and begin to get ready. I put my Fall Out Boy shirt on, jeans, and my favorite pair of converse. I take my meds, and put on my brace. I look in the mirror, and see that I have a black eye from yesterday's fight. I put concealer on, and am ready to head downstairs.

I go downstairs, and Sean greets me, as usual. "Good morning beautiful!". "Hey!", I say. "Hey, we won't be going to school today.", Sean says. "Why?", I ask. "Christian has an appointment at the hospital.", Sean tells me. "Okay!", I say.

We head to the hospital, and I put on Doubt by Twenty One Pilots. I play it, because I don't want Sean to forget that I'm here for him. "Why are you playing this song?", Sean asks. "Listen to the lyrics.", I say. "It keeps repeating 'Don't forget about me'. I'm confused.", Sean says. "Whatever.", I say.

We arrive at the hospital, and I am so glad we're at a children's hospital. They have a playroom in the waiting room, which means Christian is entertained. However, I so hear one kid ask, "Mommy, why doesn't that little boy have hair?". The mom apologized after, and I accepted the apology. I know it's just a little kid. Little kids don't know any better.

We get called back, and Christian has to get some MRIs done. He also have to go through more radiation. But, somehow he is able to keep a smile on his face. He doesn't lose it. He's one strong kid.

The doctor calls me back to tell me some news. "Alright, so we know that Christian has stage cancer, yes?", the doctor asks, even though it was more of a statement. "Yes.", I reply. "So, know we just have to put the pieces of the puzzle together. We're trying to find out the best treatments for him. But, I do have bad news.", the doctor says. "What is it?", I ask, nervous. "We're going to have to keep him overnight. We found two more tumors, and they're spreading quite quickly. We're not sure if he's going to make it. However, we're doing everything in our power to make sure that doesn't happen. He's doing chemo right now, and is already in his room.", the doctor tells me. Tears begin to fall, because it's hard to hear this kind of news.
