A Fresh Start

A Day Full Of Surprises

I wake up the next morning, and Sean isn't in here anymore. He must have left when I fell asleep. I begin to get ready, because of what Sean told me. I put on a red shirt and jeans. I slip on my favorite pair of converse, then begin to mess with my brace. It's being a pain, but it always is. I take my pain meds, grab my crutches, then head downstairs.

"Good morning, beautiful! We're going out for breakfast today. Caleb is already ready, so let's go.", Sean says.

"So, what's the occasion?", I ask at the restaurant.

"Well, I have some pretty big news. But, you'll find out later. The reason we're here is for Caleb.", Sean says.

I give Caleb a big hug, because of how much I missed him.

After breakfast, we go back home, and there's a note on my bed.

Anna,

Kim is coming to spend the week with us. She agreed to watch Caleb tonight, because we're going on a date. Trust me, you're going to love it. There's a dress op in your closet waiting on you. You deserve it after all the stress you've been through lately. I love you!

Sean

My heart begins to melt as I read it. I love him so much. Thank you, God, for putting him in my life. I go over to my closet, and look at the dress. It's a light blue dress with sparkles. It's absolutely beautiful! I look down to see new white high heels. I love him so much, I just can't believe how sweet he is!

I begin to get ready, starting with the makeup. I put on lipstick, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, concealer, and foundation. I then begin to do my hair. I curl it, because Sean loves my hair curled. I look absolutely beautiful.

I go to my room to get dressed. I put on my dress on, then my heels. I look at the time, and it's already seven. Dang. Who knew that getting ready would take this long?

I head downstairs without my crutches. I figured it would be okay for today.

"Anna!", Kim greets me.

"Kim!", I exclaim and give her a big hug.

"You look amazing!", Kim says.

"Thanks!", I say.

"Are you ready?", Kim asks.

"Yes.", I say.

"Lindsey, you look gorgeous!", Sean says at the restaurant.

"Thanks!", I say, and begin to blush.

"Anna, you don't know how badly I wanted to stare whenever you came downstairs.", Sean says.

"Well, Sean, you look so handsome in that tuxedo, I wanted to stare as well.", I say.

After dinner, we go somewhere that I've never been before. There's lights hanging from the trees, and there's a speaker set up playing slow songs. There's also a blanket laying on the grass.

"Anna, would you like to dance with me?", Sean asks.

"I would love to.", I say and smile.

I feel like I'm in a movie or something. It feels perfect. Sean then tucks my hair behind my ear.

"Anna, I love you so much!", Sean says.

"I love you, too!", I say.

We learn in for a kiss, and it's a true kiss. Not like before. This is real. This is my first kiss, and I will always remember this. I place my hand on Sean's chest, and he looks into my eyes.

"Do you want to lay down on the blanket?", Sean asks,

"I'd love to.", I say, and smile.

We both lay down on the blanket under the moonlight. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here with Sean.

"Sean, did you know that every time I look into your eyes, I fall in love all over again?", I ask.

"Anna, did you know that every time I see you smile, I feel like the first time I fell in love with you. You know, you don't need makeup or a dress to look beautiful. You don't need heels or your hair to be beautiful. It's just that tonight is a special night. You look beautiful whenever you first wake up.", Sean says.

"Really? I look like a cross between a zombie and a gorilla whenever I wake up.", I explain.

"And you're the most beautiful cross between a zombie and a gorilla that I know.", Sean says, and we both laugh.

I love it when life stays good.
