Pulling Away

(Monday)

I wake up, and begin to get ready. Sean has been hanging out with Marissa this weekend, even though the assignment was already due. He claims that he didn't turn the assignment in on time, so he had to work on it this weekend. However, I'm not that stupid. I say him turning the assignment in. He isn't a very good liar, and I'm going to find out what's happening. I decide that I'm going to impress him. I put on a light pink dress, and flats. I even out on makeup. Did I mention that I never wear makeup? I take my meds, and put my brace on. I grab my crutches, and head downstairs.

"Well, you look beautiful today! What's the occasion?", Sean asks, although it was more of a statement. "I don't really have one.", I lie. I definitely have an occasion. He'll definitely find out later. I put food on my plate, and eat. As soon as we're done eating, we grab our bags, and head out the door.

I can't determine if I'm surprised or not when Sean doesn't help me get to my locker. He's talking to Marissa. I'm not sure what they're talking about, but it doesn't sound like science. The talk we're going to have later is sure going to be interesting.

At lunch, Sean doesn't even sit with me. I have to sit by myself. I look over, and he's sitting by Marissa. Sitting by Marissa is totally fine, but what isn't fine is that he has his arm around her. I think we were better off in Vegas. Sean is probably better off here. Whatever. I'm sick and tired of the games he's playing.

After school, Sean and I visit Christian. He's still in the hospital, and there's no point of staying. "Hey Christian!", I say. "Hey!", he says. "How are you?", I ask. "Okay, I guess. Can you guys spend the night?", Christian says, although it was more of a question. "No, they won't let anyone stay the night. Plus we have school tomorrow.", I say. "True.", Christian says.

We go home, and I begin to ask questions. "So, do you want to tell me why you've been lying to me?", I ask. "What do you mean?", Sean asks. "Don't play dumb. You think I'm dumb. You think that I didn't see you turn the assignment for science in. You think I didn't see you put your arm around Marissa. You think I'm stupid! But really, you're the stupid one!", I say. "What are you talking about Anna?", Sean asks. "Stop lying!", I say, a tear starting to fall. "Okay?", Sean asks. "Tell me the truth. Are you cheating on me?", I ask. "Yes.", Sean says. Tears begin to fall, and it's hard to take this news. "If it weren't for Christian being in the hospital or him having cancer, I would break up with you. But he needs me. He needs you. He needs us.", I say. I go to my room, and text Savannah.

(A-Anna, S- Savannah)

A- Hey! Just found out that Sean cheated on me again!

S- What a jerk! I hope you broke up with him.

A- No, because Christian has cancer, and is in the hospital. He needs us. But if it weren't for that, I would have already broken up with him.

S- Good! He doesn't deserve a girl like you!

I put my phone down, and lay down. I cry myself to sleep. This is the worst way to fall asleep.

Hey guys! (And girls)! What did you think? Yay? Nay? Please let me know in the comments. Also, thank you for reading. It means a lot to me. Thank you again! I love you all!
