Nothing Else We Can Do

When I get released from the hospital, we get on a plane to Chicago. I'm back on a wheelchair, and I even get a new one. We then head to the airport.

We arrive in a Chicago about four hours later. We go to the hospital where Christian is at, and the doctor has some bad news for me. "Anna, listen. Christian is very sick. He's dying. We're not exactly sure how long he has left, but we do think maybe around a week, maybe less. However, we are releasing him. There's nothing else we can do. Also, we're taking him off the chemo. He's too sick. I'm sorry.", the doctor says, and tears begin to fall.

We decide to go out to eat for dinner. We all decide it's a good choice, seeing as I haven't eaten anything in the past 42 hours. We go to an All-You-Can-Eat buffet. We also decide that going to this place is another good choice, because we want to eat a lot of food.

After we eat, we head home, and turn on the news. "Today, an 18 year old girl with the name of Savannah has passed away today. She lived in Los Angeles, California, and was killed in a car accident. It was a hit and run, and police officials are still investigating.", the news anchor says. "Oh my goodness! That's the Savannah I know!", I exclaim, shocked.

Fifteen minutes later, someone knocks on the door. "Just a minute!", I yell, so that whoever is outside knows that it will take a minute for me to get to the door. I don't use my wheelchair, and hobble to the door. I open the door, and it's Jim. "Jim?", I asked, shocked. "Anna! Can I talk to you outside alone? I promise I just want to talk.", Jim explains. I look at Jackson for approval, and he nods. We go outside, and sit on the swing we have on the front porch. "Anna, I just want to apologize.", he says. "For what?", I ask. "Because. I'm your father. Once your mother died, I left. I broke up with your stepmom. I just couldn't take it anymore. Anna, I'm so sorry.", my dad says. "But dad! You hurt me! You tried to strangle me, and cut me!", I say. "I had to Anna! Your stepmother would have killed you!", he explains. "Dad! You could have got us out of the house we were in!", I say, tears beginning to fall. "I'm sorry, Anna!", my dad says. "No. There's nothing to apologize about.", I say, and go inside.

Hey guys! (And girls!) What did you think? Yay? Nay? Please let me know in the comments. Also, thank you for reading! I love you all!
