I immediately woke up to my  phone buzzing in the bed notifying me that a voicemail had been received and I listened to it immediately. "Hey Jhene... it's Onika. I just wanted to make sure you got home safe. Sorry to bug you if you are already in bed. Just checking on you is all. Goodnight." my heart fluttered at the sound of her voice, and her lips expressed the slightest of smiles. I had to admit i felt good her calling to check on me, and it was nice to know someone other than my family cared I was safe. I was also aware that her voice caused more than a small chest flutter and squeezed my thighs together at the thought of her.  I felt like a teenager all over again

It was 7 o'clock in the morning. I turned to the left side of me  to see if Namiko was sleeping. I gently slided out of the bed to make a call. I scroll down to the contact Onika and called. It had 3 rings before she answered.

"Hello."

"Hey."

"Jhene! I was worried sick about you. You know how I feel when you don't call me."

"Yeah, I know I'm sorry. I had important things to do  yesterday."

"Ok well I'm glad your okay but I was thinking that we should hang out today."

"That would be great what time"

"Anytime soon it doesn't matter."

"Ok I will call when I'm ready."

"Ight get beautiful for me. I should see that she was smiling though the phone."

After I hung up I screamed silently. It been a long time since I  went out and had fun or even have an intimate relationship with anyone. I couldn't wait to see her. I took a shower, got dress added  makeup of course and i was ready. I felt a small tug on my pant I looked down seeing it was Namiko. She rubbed her eyes and lifted her arms up in my direction. I picked her up and began to make breakfast for her.

"Go wash your face and brush your teeth."I said hitting her butt softly. She ran to bathroom and did what she was told.

We ate pancakes grits and bacon. While we were eating I put on some cartoon to keep her okpie. Steven universe was on her favorite show. She grabbed her plate and ran to the television.

"We are the crystal gems. We always save the day and if you think we can't we're always find a way that why the people of this world believe in garnet amethyst ,pearl and steven." She sang along with the song. We watched at least two episodes of Steven Universe  then I got her ready for her friend Ashley sleepover party. She told me that she didn't want me to come because I was going to embarrass her in front of her friends.

Ashley and Namiko has been friends since childbirth, both goes to the same school, have the same favorite color, they're like twins that can never be teared apart.  If Ashley  there so is namiko and vice versa.

After I brought Namiko  to the party I called onika.

"Hello."

"Hey where you want to meet."

"I'm hungry so let met at Applebee's."

"Ok cool see you there."

Soon as I entered the restaurant  I was  bombarded with cold air. The restaurant was full. I looked around at the busy tables. An old couple eating side by side, one glass of wine each, studiously bent over their meals.A family and their teenage children. The noise level was high. I waited for Onika to arrive  soon  shortly after she entered. I greeted her with a hug and she returned  the favor. Once we sat down she looked at me and smiled.
