Lainey Blake
"HEYY!!!" I heard Alan yell.I take a peek and saw Alan, a flare on his hand trying to make a divertion. Alan slowly wave the flare, the T-Rex follow the movement. Alan throw away his flare and the T-Rex follows it. But then I saw Ian with a flare on the right side of the car while Dad at the left.
"HEY! HEYY!!" Ian yell.
"SHANE, IAN FREEZE!!!" Alan yells at them.
Dad follow what Alan said but he duck down. Ian ignore what Alan said and run away from the T-Rex. "GET THE KIDS!" Ian yells and Dad run to Alan.
"DAD!"
"DR.GRANT!"
The two adults scurried to the side of the car. "I got you guys. I got you guys." Alan said. "Lainey! You okay?" Dad ask. "I'm sorry I forgot. I'm sorry." I said, looking at Dad, a tear fell on my cheek.
"Honey, its okay you are gonna be safe alright?" I nod. "Give me your hand." I try to reach Dad's hand but my foot stuck on the steering wheel. Alan already help Lex getting out from the car. "Timmy give me your hand." Alan said. "I can't. My feet is stuck by the seat. "Tim said. "Almost there, Hon." Dad encourages me but Lex suddenly screams loudly and Alan covers her mouth. "Don't move. It can feel our movement." Alan whisper.
Turns out, the T-Rex is in front of us. It blew off Alan's hat and huffs at Dad. The T-Rex start spins the car a bit, Alan, Lex and Dad have to move along to avoid being eaten. It spin the car more, me and Tim scream and the car is on the edge. Lex climbs on Alan's back and Alan holds on the wire, Dad holds another wire.
"Lex! Lex you're choking me! Grab on the other one!" I heard Alan said, our car is getting nearer to fall. Lex grab the other one just in time and we fall on the edge, being push by the T-Rex.
"LAINEY!! TIM!!"
Me and Tim scream as we fall but fortunately, the car falls on top of a tree. The T-Rex let out a roar and I black out.
~*~*~
"Ow!" I groan when I wake up and rub my head. I blink my eyes couple of times, taking the surrounding and I realize that we got attacked and fell on a tree in a car, our clothes are all muddy and dirty.
I look at Tim on my left. "You okay, Timmy?"I ask. "I threw up." he said quietly. "It's okay dear but are you hurt?"
"No."
"We're gonna be fine." I smile weakly.
"Lainey! Tim! You okay?" I heard Alan from below. Moments later, Alan is already beside the wrecked car, looking relief. "Thank goodness you're okay."
"Where's Dad?"I ask him.
"Shane is trying to calm down Lex so come on let's get down."
"I threw up." Tim said. "It's okay, we won't tell anyone about this give your hand." Alan assures Tim.Tim grabs Alan's hand and he reach for my hand. "There you go. Now we have to climb down." both of us shake our heads. I'm not afraid of heights but the T-Rex pushed us down and I don't wanna do anything about it. "Alright just think of a tree house, do you have a tree house?" Alan ask. Tim shakes his head. "My Dad is busy digging bones." I frown.
"well umm..." Alan starts but then the car moves a bit to our direction. "We have to go NOW!" Alan said and we all climb down as quickly as we can.
"GO GO!"
Tim climbs down one at a time follow by me and Alan and the car is near to us. "Tim move down faster." Alan urge.
When we are on the ground, Alan wrap his arms around us and the car fell on top of us but we are safe by the roof."Well we're back in the car." Tim said. "At least we're on the ground." I mumble. "We're safe. we're safe." Alan said, hugging us tightly.
"Alan! Lainey! Tim!" Dad yell, running next to the car. "Dad! Get us out of here." I said. Dad pull us out one by one and hugs me tightly and kiss my head. "I'm so glad you're okay." he whispers. "You too Dad." I whisper back. "I don't want to lose you too. I already lose your Mum."
"Dad you didn't lose me I'm right here.""I love you little dino."
"I love you too Daddy Dino." Dad kiss my cheeks. "Now let's wash your muddy face a bit, alright." Dad looks at me. I nod and the four of us walk to Lex. Lex hug Tim, relief that her is brother is alive and breathing. "I thought I'm gonna lose you two." Lex hugs me. "We're here Lex, alive." I said giggling. "Good cause we consider you as our older sister." Lex said, Tim nodding. "Come here." I wrap my arms around them, Dad and Alan smiling at us.
~*~*~
"He left us." Lex whispers. "Hey, hey. Listen. I'm right here with Shane and we didn't leave you. We promise." Alan said. Lex, Tim and I nod our heads, feeling relief.
I heard a roar in a distance. "You hear that?" Lex ask. Looks like I'm not the only who heard the roar. Dad wraps his arms protectively around my waist. "No I didn't hear anything." Alan said, Dad nod his head in agreement. "Can we call for help?" Lex ask. Both me and Dad pull out our phones.I let out a groan." My screen crack a bit and the battery is dead." Dad sigh. "My battery's dead too."
"Come on, we need to find a place for the night." Alan said, leading the way. We walk a bit for a few minutes, I held on Dad as my foot that was stuck on the steering wheel a bit sore. Alan ushers us to climb on the big tree. "I hate trees." Tim complains. "Well they don't bother me." Lex said calmly and start following Alan. I follow the others and sit on Dad's lap on a higher branch than Alan, Lex and Tim.
"How's your foot?" Dad ask. "A bit better." I lean on his chest. We saw a herd of Brachiosaurus are eating. Alan cup both his hands and made a sound mimicking their sound, a few of them lift their heads up near us. "Don't do that!" Lex said, fear in her voice. "Don't worry its a herbivore." Alan said. "Meaning that they ate vegetables but I think they make an exception on you." Tim adds." Oh I hate the other one." Lex grits her teeth. We're on the same page here Lex.
"Are you guys gonna dig bones after this?" Lex ask Alan and Dad. "We don't know yet." Alan said. Alan flinch a bit when he lean back and grab something behind him and it was his raptor claw and he threw on the ground. "What do you call a blind dinosaur?" Tim ask.
"What?"
"Do-you-think-hesaurus." We all laugh.
"What do you call a blind dinosaur with a dog?" Tim ask again.
"Don't know."
"Do-you-think-hesaurus rex." Again we laugh at that and Alan ruffles his hair. "Hey Alan, Shane?" Lex ask, looking at both of them. "Yeah?"
"What if there is a dinosaur when we are sleeping?"
"Well we are gonna be awake for the whole night." Dad said, Alan nod.
I feel Dad fixing my blue bandanna that surprisingly still around my head although it's a bit muddy. "You cold?" I nod a bit, wrap my muddy denim shirt tighter. Dad wrap his arms around me and kiss my head. "Get some sleep little dino I won't go anywhere. "He whisper. My eyelids slowly close and I heard him said, "Night."
