Lainey Blake
"Yeah, and they're flocking this way." Tim said, he and Lex backs up a bit.All I can think is one word.
Run.
Lex and Tim took off first, then me and Dad snap out of it and run and I ignore the pain. Finally, Alan follow our move, holding Lex's and Tim's hand.
We struggle to keep moving since the the flock is way bigger than us and I feel like we're stuck in the middle of a stampede. "Why are they running away?" I yell. "They probably sense something that we don't! Stick together!" Alan yells back.
"Head to the tree!" Dad yells to everyone and points it. The flock jump over the tree and we carefully dodge ourself from the flock and hide at the tree. Dad pulls me to him and protect ourself. I saw the tree is moving and saw the T-Rex coming out from it and kill one Gallimimus with only one bite.
Dad grab my hands all of the sudden.I look down and realize that my hands are shaking the whole time. "Calm down."
"Gross." Lex said, watching the T-Rex feasting on the Gallimimus.
The T-Rex let out a roar again and Alan signalled us to keep moving. Me and Dad crawl to them quietly and get up. "Look at all the blood!" Tim stare the dinosaur. Alan grabs him. "Keep moving."

"Now what?" I look at the tall electrified fence. "I guess we should climb." Dad said.
"Is it safe?" Lex ask, afraid. Alan and Dad went forward to check it out. Alan grab a stick and throw it to the fence but nothing happen. Lex, Tim and I raise our eyebrows at the adults. Dad went to me again and Alan touch the fence with his hands.
"Maybe the power's off." Alan shrugs.
All of the sudden, he screams and the fence he's holding is slightly shaking.
"AAAAHHH!!!"
The four of us watch in horror and scream as well because we think Alan might get electrocuted. Dad and I hug each other and scream while Lex just stand there and Tim cover his head and scream.
Alan stop shaking the fence and turn around facing us with a grin on his face and laugh. "You've got to be kidding me?!" Dad shot a glare at Alan, still hugging me. "You gave us a heart attack!" I frown.
"That's not funny." Lex shakes her head. Tim on the other hand,is on a different page. "That was great!" Tim laughs. A few minutes later, both me and Dad laugh together. "I have to admit, you got us,Grant." I smirk. Alan smile widely at us.
"Maybe if we could-" Alan mumble to himself and tried to poke his head out from the smaller parts of the fence.
He stop at his tracks when we heard a loud roar from the T-Rex from a distance. Dad push me forward and urges us to start climbing.
I climb up following Alan and Dad. Since me and Dad always went to rock climbing, I focus on climbing to the top and not looking down because that'd make my eyes bulge out from it sockets. Lex is nearby with me, Tim is a little behind from us.
"Hey, Tim! I bet I can climb on the other side faster than you!" Lex said.
"Oh yeah, if I got there first, what would I get from you?"
"Respect. I'll give you respect when we're back home."
"Now, now kids this is not a race." Alan said.
At the top, I put my right leg on the other side then my left leg. I can't jump like rock climbers do after they're on the top because obviously we don't have ropes and we're on a hurry. Dad is near me,watching my steps. "Dad,I'm okay." I said, looking at him over my shoulder. "I'm just doing what a Dad supposed to do, little dino."
Alan, Lex and Dad already at the bottom. Instead of climbing down,I climb up where Tim is because he is struggling on the top. "Honey, what are you doing?" Dad yell. "I'll be down there with Tim later!" I yell back.
"Timmy, you okay?"
"Fine, just its so high!"
"Look at me. Don't look down. Look at me."
"Okay, Lainey."
"Good."
I stay where I am,watching Tim carefully. Suddenly we heard a siren loudly near us. Both me and Tim startle by the sudden loud noise, jump a bit and manage to grab hold. My heart is beating rapidly at this point. Is the power going back on?
"TIMMY! LAINEY! YOU HAVE TO JUMP!" Dad yells.
"NO WAY!" I yell.
"YOU HAVE TO JUMP!" Alan yell. Lex kept shouting our names repeatedly.
"ARE YOU CRAZY!" Tim yells.
"ON THE COUNT OF THREE, JUMP!ONE, TWO, THREE!" Alan counts but we remained still.
"WE'LL CATCH YOU!" Dad yells.
"Timmy, we have to do it." I said, looking at him. "okay." he nod his head.
"OKAY WE ARE GOING TO JUMP!" I yell.
I grip on the fence tightly. We have to do it. Go big or go home.
"One." Tim start.
"Two."
"Thr-"
The power came back on like I was expected and we didn't jump on time. We let go of the fence, falling and I felt someone caught me and I felt like my heart was stopping before I fell into darkness.
