My eyes slowly opened and my head was throbbing. Panic started running through me and I turned around in my seat, a shooting pain running through me as I moved quickly. It was eerily quiet and I looked out of the window to see a large tree right next to my window.

The car was upright but we were at the bottom of a ditch, we must have rolled down the hill when we spun off the road.

I slowly turned to look at everyone, fearing the worst as I looked at each of them. Josh was leant back in his seat but thankfully he was slowly starting to move, his eyes twitching open as I glanced at him. He had no visible signs of injury so I turned around as carefully as I could.

George's head was leant against the head the rest and his eyes were beginning to open, his arms were covered in blood from what looked like the broken glass from the window.

It was when I looked at Lucy that my stomach dropped and tears pricked in my eyes. Her leg was bent in a very unnatural position and tears were streaming down her eyes, staring at me in pain and worry all over her face.

"It's ok, It's ok" I assured her the best I could, my voice cracking as I spoke.

"It hurts" She sobbed, finally finding her voice.

It was when she spoke that George's eyes fully opened and he gasped when he saw her, tears in his eyes as he stroked her head and told her it was going to be ok.

"Is it your leg?" I asked her softly, looking away and trying not to think about the way it looked.

She nodded and took a deep breath of pain before speaking, "I think it's broken" she said quietly, wincing at the words she spoke.

"No, no, no, It's ok, It's ok" George spoke quickly, I think he was trying to assure himself more than he was Lucy.

"What the hell happened?" I heard Josh ask from the seat next to me.

"I'm sorry, this is all my fault" I whispered, crying quietly at what was happening around me.

I felt Josh's hand gently stroke my arm as I buried my face in my hands, "It's alright, we will all be ok" he assured me. "But we need to pull ourselves together and get Lucy to a hospital, she will be losing blood from her leg"

I nodded my head and knew he was right. I rubbed my eyes with my hand and reached into my bag for my phone, pulling it out and sighing in defeat as I had no signal.

"No signal" I told them all, holding my phone up in worry.

I saw Josh and George check their phones and they both didn't have any signal either.

"What on earth are we going to do? Lucy needs to get to a hospital! I can't let anything happen to her" George said quickly, his voice rising as panic filled him.

"George! You need to calm down, you're not helping" Josh interrupted him, his voice incredibly serious and forceful.

I was glad he was the only one keeping calm, because me and George definitely weren't helping in any way.

"Ok, Lily, does the engine work?" Josh asked me.

I turned the key in the ignition and the engine roared to life.

"Ok, put the heating on. George, you stay with Lucy and make sure she keeps warm. Try and wrap her leg in something to stop the blood. And if you can, sit her leg up on the seat, but be careful not to put her in any more pain. Lily, we are going to get out and look around, we need to find a way out of here" Josh instructed.

I nodded my head and slowly opened my car door. The stiffness in my neck hurt as I got out, but I moved past it.

I stood upright and turned to see Josh getting out as well, rubbing the back of his head and wincing in pain.

"You ok" I asked softly as I walked around the car to meet him on the other side.

"Nowhere near as bad as Lucy" he insisted, smiling warmly at me and looking up at the slope we had fallen down.

"The horse" I breathed, worrying about how she was.

Josh took my hand in his and began walking up the slope, dragging me behind him. It was steep and I was already exhausted when we got halfway up.

I finally managed to get to the top, with the help of Josh practically pulling me up behind him.

To my relief I saw the horse stood where she had been earlier, pulling at a little tuft of grass which was poking out from the snow. I looked around and there was no sign of anyone else around us. We were just surrounded by trees and snow.

"I wish JJ were here" Josh said suddenly, a small smile on his face.

"Why?" I asked.

"I can guarantee he would ride that horse to the nearest town and get some help" He giggled, pointing to the horse that had caused all our problems.

"That would be like something out of a movie" I laughed, shaking my head at the thought.

"Could work though" he said, I turned to look at him and he was already heading towards the horse in front of us.

I stood and crossed my arms over my chest, this was going to be interesting.

I heard him murmuring to the horse and watched as she lifted her head to look up at him. She watched him closely as he stepped closer towards her with an outstretched hand like he had done before with the horses yesterday.

She allowed him to stroke her neck, but I had no idea how he was planning on riding her. I watched in amazement as he grabbed the mane on her neck and jumped up.

She neighed in shock and jumped forward, Josh fell onto the ground and she galloped away from us, back down the track.

I ran over to Josh and knelt down next to him, worry running through me as his eyes were shut and he lay completely still.

"Josh... JOSH!" I shouted, shaking uncontrollably with concern.

His eyes opened quickly and he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closely to him and laughing.

"That wasn't funny!" I scolded him, a smile appearing on my face though from the relief.

"Sorry, I couldn't resist. Was trying to hide my embarrassment" he giggled, still holding me close to him on the ground.

"Come on, we need to figure out what to do" I said, standing up and holding my hand to help him up. Lucy was hurt and we needed to get to a hospital as quickly as possible.

The seriousness of the situation finally sunk in and I looked around, panicking as I truly realised we had no plan and no one around to help.

Josh noticed my sudden change in mood and turned me to face him.

"It's going to be ok, Lily" he assured me, "we are going to get as high as possible to try and get signal on one of these phones" he said, holding up the three phones that he must have taken from the car when we got out.
