I heard the front door open and close and attempted to go back to sleep, pulling the covers tightly around me and forcing my eyes shut.

Josh's POV

Me and George jumped into the taxi as it pulled up outside Lily's house and asked the driver to take us to Leagrave train station, settling into the seats at the back and humming along to the radio.

"So, what's the deal with you and Lily?" George asked, turning to face me.

"I don't know really, we had the most amazing day yesterday. I...Umm... we kissed last night" I replied, looking up to see his reaction.

His face was blank for a moment, and then a smile played on his lips and he grinned at me, "So now what?"

His question made me stop and think for a while, not knowing what was going to happen now between me and Lily.

"If I'm honest, I have no idea" I said quietly.

"What's stopping you both from getting back together?"

"Lily, well I guess both of us, are scared about what is going to happen when the media find out"

"I wish there was a way you could make them understand how much you love each other" George said softly.

"So do I" I nodded, smiling up at George and looking out of the window as the car stopped to see we had arrived at the train station already.

We paid the taxi driver and then got on the train to London, the journey was only 40 minutes away so it went fairly quickly. Commuters and Christmas shoppers were already getting the train to London as well, and I was surprised at how busy it was this early in the morning.

When we got to St Pancras, we headed towards our management headquarters and arrived in the building to see JJ and Jaymi waiting in the lobby.

"Hey guys!" JJ called as he turned to face us.

We all hugged each other and I was happy to have us all back together again.

"Where have you both been then?" Jaymi asked, looking at us questioningly.

"We were at Lucy and Lily's house" George smiled.

As he spoke I looked up to see Jaymi and JJ's eyes immediately shift to me, their expression looked confused and almost, worried.

"What's going on with you and Lily then?" Jaymi asked, getting straight to the point.

"Nothing really, we kissed yesterday evening and spent the night together. But we aren't back together" I told them quickly.

"You two are making my head hurt" JJ moaned, shaking his head.

"How can you carry on like this?" Jaymi asked me accusingly.

"I don't have a choice" I said, a bit louder than I intended. "Sorry. I just... Every time I am with her I am ridiculously happy. When I am away from her, I can't stop thinking about her. But if we were together... well I can't stand to see her hurt like that again"

George put his hand on my shoulder and looked at me sympathetically. I forced a smile back to see JJ and Jaymi looking at me with unreadable expressions.

"Just think about what you are doing, I don't want to see you hurt again" Jaymi said eventually, pulling me into a hug. I smiled as JJ nodded and hugged me as well, and laughed as George wrapped his arms around us all.

"Boys, they are ready to see you now" A woman's voice said from behind the reception desk. Her voice broke us apart and we all thanked her and walked into the room on the right, greeting our management team who were all sat around a big table. I noticed Daisy sat next to her dad and I grimaced at the thought of being with her. She seemed like a nice enough girl, but she wasn't Lily.
