ch. 35 A pirate's life for me

"(Y/N)...?"

"(Y/N), wake up"

"HEY (Y/N)" I sit up, wide awake, "yes, what!?!" I say, feeling my heart beat fast. "Rise and shine! We're here" WIlford tells me. I lower my eyebrows in confusion, "we're where?" I ask him confused. He gently takes my hand, and leads me outside, onto the deck. I first let my eyes get used to the bright sunlight. I rub my eyes for a moment, and look down at my feet, trying not to blind myself. "come on, look!" Wilford says. I hear the excitement in his voice. I Look up, "wha-" I cut myself off as I see the familiar sight that I missed for way too long. "Wilford" My breath shakes a little.

"welcome home"

I smile brightly and hug him tight, "thank you so much, Wilford! Oh my god!" I pull away from the hug, and look again, smiling to myself. "oh wow...this is so unreal!" I tell him before walking a bit more forward. The crew looks at me. "Come on, sweetheart, go home...you deserve rest" Wilford tells me, standing somewhere behind me.

I turn around, "So this is goodbye...?" I ask softly, my voice shaking a little. Wilford nods once. "But...how will I ever see you again?" I ask, "I want to see you again...somewhere in the future!" I tell him as I take a small step towards him. I look around and spot Dark and Sean, "And you guys! I don't want to lose you!" I tell them. "How can I find you!?" I ask Wilford frustrated. He smiles softly, "You'll find your way...just like this story did" He tells me. "But...when will we meet again?" I ask. Dark comes standing next to captain Warfstache. "Only time can tell, dear" He says. I feel tears building up. I quickly hug them both, hiding my tears. "I'll visit you soon..." Wilford quickly whispers in my ear.

Suddenly I feel both their hands sneak down my back, to my butt. My eyes widen a little, and gently push myself off. It would be rude to yell at them right now. When their hands slip away, I feel quite some weights in my back pockets.  Grab the two objects, and pull them out of there. I smiling brightly, "my gold..." I whisper softly before looking at them. They both had put a little bag of golden coins and some jewelry in my pockets. "Thank you" I hug them again, and step away.

I hug Sean goodbye, and step onto the plank. I look at captain Warfstache one more time before walking off it, onto the wood above the water. "Bye everyone!" I wave at them, and they all wave back, except for Warfstache and Dark. They smile, nod once and turn around.

I continue to walk towards the village, and look behind me one more time, seeing The Wink already sailing towards the horizon.

I walk home, and greet my family. "Ohh, we were so worried!!" I show them all my money, and tell them that this won't be the last money I'll get for them. I tell them the whole story, from beginning to end.  I tell them about the island, and the ring. I tell them about the Black Pearl, and captain Sparrow. Captain Warfstache, and Dark. They all listen to every word I say with bright smiles. And when I'm done, my little nephews and nieces ask me about the song that I heard the men singing a lot. I chuckle and start singing again, "yo-ho, yo-ho..."
