My dad was standing in the kitchen talking to Jason Todd.
"What the hell?" Hanna said looking at me.
"Oh god, please hide me before... Oh no it's to late." I said as my dad and Jason started walking towards us.
"Hi Haley, sorry about yesterday." Jason said as he stood in front of me.
"Yeah, you should probably look both ways before turning." I replied even though I felt like I was going to throw up.
"Who's this girl?" My dad asked.
"It's my friend Hanna."
"You should've asked before inviting someone over." He said trying to stay calm.
"Well, I don't have time to fight about this so could I just get on with my life?" I said.
"Jason and I were getting ready to leave anyway. Later, we'll talk about this." He said with an angry tone.
"Okay, bye." I replied.
"Maybe we could stay." Jason said desperately wanting to stay.
"No, we have things to take care of Jason." My dad said growing more angry.
"Yes sir." Jason replied sadly.
"I told you." Hanna whispered in my ear as they walked out the door.
"Whatever." I said rolling my eyes.
"Alfred I'm gonna head to my room, I'll see you around." I said and started walking toward my room.
"Did you do anything last night?" He asked raising her eyebrows.
"Hanna I didn't even know he knew my dad until just now!" I replied angrily. "I don't even know why he was here!"

JASON'S POV
"Why was Haley Vale at your house?" I asked as Bruce and I were sitting in the bat cave.
"She's my daughter." Bruce replied. "And you need to keep your hands and eyes off of her!"
"How come you never told me you had a daughter?" I asked.
"Because I know you Jason and she doesn't need to get involved in all of this mess." He replied sternly.
"Isn't it a little late for that?" I asked. "Her mom is Viki Vale, one of the worst criminals in Gotham."
"Yeah, I know, but I don't want anything to happen to her." He replied calmly.
"You think I would let something happen to her?" I asked.
"No, but you can't stop everything from happening Jason." He replied. "You and I both know that."
"I know." I said sadly.
"I wish it could be different, but Gotham isn't something you can change in a day." Bruce replied trying to cheer me up.
"Yeah, I know that's why I help." I replied.
After that conversation we continued on with our work. I just wish it could be different. Not just for me, but for everyone. We all deserve happiness.
