I left earlier than usual for school so I could make it to Hanna's house before she left for school. I wasn't sure what I was going to say still. I honestly couldn't stop thinking about the night before. It wasn't something I wanted to tell Hanna right off the bat. I know she would be mad if She found out I was at my house making out with Jason. When I should've been thinking about what I did, or apologizing that day. I arrived at Hanna's house 15 minutes before she usually leaves. I walked up to her front door and realized none of the lights were on in the house. I knocked on the door. No one answered. I knocked again. Still no answer. I twisted the door handle And the door was unlocked.
"Hello? Is anyone home?" I asked as I opened up the door.
No one answered. I walked up stairs to Hanna's room and she wasn't there. I Looked in her brother's room.
"Hello? Gavin? Are you in here?" I asked.
"Who's there?" Someone asked.
"It's me Haley. You can come out." I replied.
The closet door opened and Hanna's little brother stepped out. He ran towards me and hugged me.
"They took them." He said sobbing.
"Who took them?" I asked.
"I don't know, Hanna just told me to hide." He replied. "All I heard was screaming."
"I'm so sorry Gavin." I said as I started to cry. "I'll get them back I promise."
"What are we going to do?" He said as he looked up at me.
"My dad can help." I replied. "Would you like to come home with me?"
"Yes." He replied.
"Okay, let's get out of here." I said.
He let go of me. We walked down stairs and walked outside to my car. The drive to my house was silent. I couldn't stop thinking about was could've happened to her. The last memory she has of me is me yelling at her. Why am I such a terrible friend? We pulled into the driveway.
"Woah, your dad is Bruce Wayne." Gavin said amazed.
"Yeah, it's not as cool as you would think." I replied as I parked the car.
"Really, but he's rich?" He said confused.
"Money isn't everything Gav." I replied as I opened the car door and stepped out.
"Right." Gavin said.

We walked up the driveway and into the house.
"Alfred!" I yelled when I walked in the door.
"Why aren't you at school?" He asked as he came running towards us.
"Hanna's gone Alfred." I replied. "I went to pick her up and apologize to her and she was gone along with her parents. Gavin was the only one there."
"I'll go get your father right away." He said before he started walking away fastly.
"Are you okay Gavin?" I asked.
"Not really, but I will be." He replied.
I heard foot steps running towards us.
"Haley tell me everything that happened." My dad said as he ran into the living room by the door where we were sitting.
I told him everything from the day before until now.
"Haley you can go to your room. I need to talk to Gavin." He said after I told him everything. "I'll come and get you later."
"Okay thanks, do me a favor and don't get in his face." I replied.
"I promise I won't." He said.

I walked to my room and laid on my bed. Just another day in the world of Haley. I got out my phone. I had a text from Jason.

Jason: Where are you?

Me: I'm at home. Hanna is gone. I went to pick her up this morning and take her to school and she was gone. Her little brother was hiding in a closet.

Jason: OMG! ARE YOU OK?

Me: I'm fine, I guess. Don't worry about it.

Jason: Really Haley, I will worry. We're going to talk about this in person.

Haley: Okay but I swear if you come to my window in like...

There was a knock on the window. Of course Jason, of course. I got up and looked out the window and sure enough it was him. I opened the window.

"Really Jason, " I said as he climbed into my room. "You're supposed to be at school."

"And... I skip school all the time." He replied. "This is more important than any other time I've skipped though."

"It's not..." I started to say as I sat down on my bed.

"A big deal." He said finishing my setence before he sat down next to me. "Haley, it's a big deal."

"You're right, but dad can take care of it." I replied.

"I just want you to know I'm hear for you." He said as he brushed my hair behind my ear. "You can tell me anything."

"I just want you hold me." I said. "I don't wanna talk anymore."

"That's fine." He said as he wrapped his arms around me.

I leaned on his shoulder. The smell of his cologne and his arms wrapped around me was more comforting than anything else. I tried to stay strong and hold back my tears. I couldn't hold them back anymore and started Crying.
"It'll be fine I promise." He said. "I'll make sure nothing happens."
"Thanks for being hear Jason." I said as I looked up at him with tears running down my eyes.

"That's what boyfriend's are for right." He said smiling.

"Yeah, nice try." I replied.

"What if I did this..." He said as grabbed my head and started pulling our faces closer together.

"Jason..." I started saying before he kissed me.

"What's going on in here!" My dad yelled as he walked into my room to find us kissing.

"Umm... I don't have any excuses, do I?" I said.

"Probably not." Jason replied.

"Definitely not, Jason!" My dad yelled.

"Well, maybe if you paid more attention you would've know about this." I said. "It's a rare occasion when you actually speak to me."

"So that makes it okay to be messing around with him!" He yelled. "It could've been anyone else!"

"Why is it such a big deal?" I asked.

"Looks like you're gonna have to tell her Jason." He said.

"I'm pretty sure she already knew this, but I'm Batman's side kick, Robin." Jason replied.

"I figured something was going on, but I didn't know that's why you were around my dad." I asked. "Why didn't you just tell me?"

"Well, I didn't want you to worry about me." Jason replied.

"But you can worry about me." I replied. "I don't think that's fair."

"I just didn't want you to get put in the middle of this crime fighting stuff." Jason said.

"Well it's to late for that." I replied. "My father is Batman and my mom is Vickie Vale."

"Dang Bruce, I didn't know you hit that." Jason said.

"Jason I don't think It's a good time to discuss that." My dad replied.

"Yeah, I'm done with both of you." I said angrily. "Get out of my room now."

"She definitely has your temper Bruce." Jason said.

"I said get out!" I yelled.

They both walked out after that.

"Ugh!" I yelled into my pillow.

Could today get any worse.
