Haley's POV
After Hanna left I was exhausted and my dad still wasn't home. I was kinda happy he wasn't. I really wasn't in the mood to argue with him. I heard a knock on my bedroom door I was hoping it was Alfred.
"Come in!" I yelled while laying in my bed.
Alfred opened the door and asked. "Do you want dinner?"
"No, I don't really have an appetite right now." I replied.
"Okay I'll leave you be." He said while closing the door.
I grabbed my phone and started opened up YouTube. I started watching a video from Matthias, one of my favorite YouTubers. About half way through the video I heard a strange noise. I paused the video, thinking maybe I was hearing things. Then I heard it again. I got up out of bed and listened again for the sound. Then my dad walked into my room and scared the crap out of me.
"Is everything okay?" He asked.
"I just thought I heard something." I replied.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted to talk to you." He said calmly.
"Okay, but if this involves you telling at me I'd rather not." I replied.
"I just wanted to tell you that you can't tell anyone who I am. It could ruin everything we have here." He said in a calm voice.
"I understand and I won't. Can I go back to watching my video now?" I asked.
"Yep, I'll leave you be." He said then closed the door behind him. As his foot steps faded down the hall way, I walked back to my bed and sat down. A second later I heard a knock at my window. I got up again and walked towards the window. I saw someone standing outside I couldn't tell who it was, but I opened the window anyway. As soon as I opened the window I realized it was Jason.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I just wanted to check on you." He said as he climbed through my window into my room.
"Why would you want to do that?" I asked.
"Why wouldn't I want to climb into some girl s bedroom window to check on her?"
"I'm not some chick who's willing to screw any guy who knocks at her window. If that's why you're here." I
"Really Haley, you think I'm a huge douche bag?"
"No, I just don't want to get involved with you." I said as I sat down on my bed.
"Why not?" He asked as he sat down next to me.
"It's not that I don't like you. It's just that I'm afraid that you'll screw me over."
"Haley I know you, believe it or not. I know you're insecure. I know you have anxiety." He said trying to make me feel better.
"Oh yeah, you know everything about me don't you." I said sarcastically.
"I'm sorry, can you just give me a chance?" He asked. "I promise I won't hurt you."
"My dad would probably hurt you though." I said smiling.
"You're probably right." He said smiling back at me.
"How do you guys know each other anyway?" I asked.
"You'll have to go on a date with me before I answer that question. He answered grinning.
"I guess, I'll go on at least one date, but I'm not promising a second one." I said playing hard to get.
"Oh we'll see." he said as he got up and walked towards the window with a grin on his face.
"Yes we will." I replied smiling back.
"May I at least have a hug before I go?" He asked.
"Maybe tomorrow around 6:00." I replied, still playing hard to get. "Sounds like a plan I'll come through the window if you don't mind." He said as he started to climb out of the window.
"At least I'll know when you're coming." I said smiling at him.
He smiled back then disappeared into the night.
