6) Trusting the Avengers with the Bots

3rd person p.o.v.

Tony had called Fury to inform him of what was going on when Thor returned riding up in an ambulance that was now being lifted by a Quinjet to the hellicarrier, "Thor, you learn anything?" Fury asked.

"That these men are allied with someone. I saw him as I protected the Autobot Medic. I do not know for sure who their allies are, but they are no friend to the Autobots." said Thor.

The twins looked at their fellow Avengers before nodding to Thor, "They barely trust humans now as it is. Asguard has had a standing friendship with Cybertron since my Grandfather. To know that the Civil war of theirs destroyed their homeworld is unsettling." Thor said.

"How many more Autobots are out there?" Cap asked.

"Bumblebee, Ironhide, Mudflap and Skids, Topspin, Hound, Drift, Crosshairs, Dingo, Mirage, Roadbuster, Elita-1, Chromia, Arcee, Jazz, Prowl, and the big bot himself Optimus Prime." Lifeguard said.

"We have two former Decepticons also on the carrier. Skywarp and Thundercracker." said Fury.

"Non-hostile, since the loss of their trine leader Starscream the pair have come to terms with Earth's Beauty." Landfall replied.

"So they aren't hostile. Good, anything else?" asked Tony.

"We have a con near by." Lifeguard said.

Fury looked at the twins and nodded as they walked to the window the others following, "Where?" Tony asked.

Lifeguard's POV

I looked at all the cars parked beside the tower and found the con, "There the black lambo." I said pointing.

~It can't be.~ Landfall said into our bond.

It was him. It was Lockdown, a bounty hunter who worked for Megatron years ago ~He will blow our cover.~ I replied.

The lambo then transformed "Who is that guy?" asked Tony.

"It is Lockdown!" Thor said.

"Take cover!" I yelled as he fired into the room we were in.

I had to think of something fast. Steve had his shield and was protecting everyone from the rounds as Thor just launched out the window. HULK not being far off I looked at Landfall and nodded, "He wants us." I said.

"What do you mean?" Steve asked.

"We have to get him away from.....IRONHIDE!" Landfall said.

The GMC topkick transformed into the weapon specialist for the Autobots, unleashing hell on Lockdown. Prowl and Jazz transformed as well. Several Black SUVs began to pull away from the fight, "Cap hand me that grapple gun." Lifeguard said.

"Really?" Landfall asked unamused.

"We need to tag those SUVs, as soon as Thor and Hulk entered the fight they started braking off." Lifeguard said.

"Already on it." said Tony getting in one of his suits and flying out the window.

Lifegaurd's POV

Tony was already on top of things as Fury called in for several jets to come and pick up the Autobots when Lockdown left. I looked at my twin as we headed to the Avenger jet. Steve was looking at me and I couldn't help but look up at him to see him turn away a light blush on his cheeks.

~Awe, someone has a crush.~ Landfall said over our twin bond. She may not like the humans squishiness but when she looked past it she enjoyed the fact that emotionally and personality wise they were much like us.

~Unlike you and Sunny. Sides and I like humans.~ I fired back.

~Ew, you want to let that squishie touch you.~ said Sunny.

Oh great now our brothers were getting involved ~Captain Rogers, has the heart and will of a Prime. He is a leader and a great man. I can not explain it, but I just feel drawn to him.~ I replied.

~I can smell the pheromones he's giving off from here.~ Sides said joking yet not joking while mentally waving his servo across his face in a 'that stinks' motion.

Steve's POV

I don't know what has happened, but for some reason I feel this urge again. This same urge I got with Peggy before I put that bomber into the Ice. Lindsey was beautiful, I liked everything about her. I just couldn't help, but feel this attraction to her. I knew she was hiding something and frankly I didn't care. I can feel those beautiful electric blue eyes looking at me even now. I glance up long enough to see her looking at me, she sends me a warm smile and a wave. I just nod my head. I want to ask her out, but I don't know the first thing about dating a girl like her. She is like one of those models you see on the billboards or TV. She gets up and sits by me, "Something on your mind Steve?" she asked.

Jesus the way my name came from her lips made me want to kiss her then and there, "Nothing really." I lied.

"Hmm. Steve you have nothing to fear from me. You can tell me." she said a soft kind smile on her face.

In the corner of my eye I saw her sister making a gagging motion but I chose to ignore that.

How could I tell her how I felt from the moment I laid eyes on her? How could I just come out and say something after only a day of knowing them? I swallowed and looked at her. Her eyes seeming to see into my very soul, "I wanted to know if you would like...to go out with me sometime." I asked.

"I would love that Steve." she said kissing me on the cheek before joining her sister who was giving her a dirty look.

I had a date with the most beautiful girl in the universe...
