a/n: au where patten and logan aren't um... personalities of Thomas Sanders. Like, pretend they're just reg people. Okkkk

Patten was typing on his computer. Ideas. Ideas for a story. For a book. For a novel. He looked around the cafe and then sat down. He had written down a plot, a set, a time, and most of the characters. Except the main one. Yup, Patten had no idea how to describe the main character.

He had an idea, but he couldn't put it into words. It was a male character, presumably smart. He worked for a secret agency, so he better be smart. He had glasses, much like Patten himself.

Something flashed on Patten's computer. Low battery. He looked around and found a table with a plug. The only table there with a plug. He rushed over and plugged his computer in. Phew.

He continued writing about the other characters. There was a female character who was very outgoing. She had long brown hair and kind of acted like she was royalty. She wasn't. She just did that for fun. She was usually wearing something red. And something white. Then there was a character that was the exact opposite. The two females were a couple. The second female was shy, but also snarky. She usually wore al black, never dresses, and she has very short hair. Usually she was snarky and mean, but her girlfriend somehow made her nicer. The two of them were a cute couple.

There was the main character's best friend, who happened to be a female. She's  a bit shorter than him, she has shoulder length hair, and is very nerdy. She loves watching tv, eating pizza, and video games. She loves basically any type of game. The main character and her work together on cases, as they're both part of the agency.

The story was based in New York, as Patten loved it there. A woman walked down and set the coffee down on the table. "Enjoy your coffee." She smiled and walked away.

Before looking back down at his computer, Patten looked up to see a man walk in the door. Patten was bisexual, and this guy was very handsome. He was wearing a white shirt with a little pin attached. His look was just, overall aesthetically pleasing. His shirt was neatly pressed. No wrinkles. He was also wearing black framed glasses, of which he pushed up his nose as he walked in. He was perfect.

He looked at his phone before frantically looking around the room. He spotted Patten and grit his teeth. Then he got in line. What was up with that?

After ordering, the man walked over to Patten.

"Excuse me, can I sit here?" The man politely asked. Patten looked up at him. Wow, he was better up close.

"Uh-um-sur- phone dead?" Several phrases came out of his mouth, only one was finished. The man nodded.

"Sure." Patten motioned for the man to sit down.

"My name's Patten." Patten smiled.

"Oh! Where are my manners, so sorry, I'm Logan." Logan sat down and plugged in his phone.

Patten chuckled. "It's fine." He said, smiling.

Damn this guy was attractive.

 Wait.

Freshly ironed shirt? Glasses? Neat hair? This guy was perfect!

Patten began typing, describing Logan as his main character.

"What are you typing?"Logan asked, curious.

Patten blushed for some reason. "Just, just a story."

"Cool! What is it about?"

"A secret agency and stuff."

"Sounds amazing."

"Thanks. Um, I have a weird question..."

"Yeah?"

"Um... I find your whole look aesthetically pleasing, so uh, can I uh, model my main character after you?"

"Of course! And thanks."

Logan fished around in his pants pockets until he pulled out a pen. He grabbed Patten's hand and wrote his number on it.

"For any questions you might have." Logan winked.
