Family Gathering

The day of the ball finally arrived and everyone attended for, despite current events and ongoing feuds, people felt at ease while also a desire for relaxation meaning that all factions of the supernatural community attended in an array of ballroom attire. The invitations spread to the leaders of the community who displayed their status by attending in the grandest of formal attire, the oldest of the leaders, The Mikaelsons, arrived fashionably late but the best kind of late as their entrance drew the eyes of all at the event but this pause was brief as the waltz went into full swing.

Once all attendants had arrived, James was finally spotted dancing with Katherine, joined by Elijah who danced with Hayley beside Freya and Keelin while their siblings watched from a table discussing the possible reasons behind the event and why James had taken such interest in them yet this train of thought was cut short as James approached them followed by both pairs "Greetings Mikaelsons, I thank you for not turning down my invitation to this event" James said "Well one can not possibly pass up such an invitation especially when it's given personally" Elijah spoke as he found a position at the table "You've organised quite the party and it seems subtlety isn't your forte" Klaus interrupted as he grabbed himself a drink from a passing waiter "But unless you plan on hosting the king, I think it's best that next time try something a little smaller" Kol added also grabbing himself a drink "That's all good and well dear brothers but we're not here to simply enjoy the scenery and compliment the host, we need answers" Freya finally added as she stood opposite James along with Keelin "And answers you shall receive but not here, please come join me in my study" James politely requested as he traveled through the ballroom towards the staircase and making his way to a study guarded by vampires.

The Mikaelsons and Keelin followed after James into a giant study with bookshelves, chairs. The Mikaelsons entered the room confused as they took a seat across from the James "So now what we sit quietly while you tell us more stories without telling us what we want?" Klaus questioned as he took his seat "On the contrary Niklaus while I would prefer silence while I speak, I shall be completely informing of The Hollow's past" James calmly responded taking a sip of wine "And what of yours, will you be telling us what this has to do with you?" Freya added as she remained stood beside Keelin "That my dear is for another time, as of now we speak of The Hollow" everyone looked at each upon hearing this all eager to hear the full story.

"As you remember I said that The Hollow was separated and hidden in four different locations by my trusted witches but what I didn't mention was how they came into possession of werewolves" James began directing his gaze between Klaus and Hayley "As I mentioned the witches died with the location of each piece with them yet each piece called out to it's own kind werewolves" upon saying this Hayley leaned forward looking confused " You see the last person to die that night of the attack was no normal syphoner for she was also part werewolf, the daughter of the alpha who killed her and now as The Hollow her bones called out like a weakened wolf to werewolves of different packs drawing them to the bones that The Hollow had cursed to inflict furious rage and bloodlust upon the keeper allowing The Hollow to feed off the magic of those slaughtered to reunite the bones but fortunately one of the packs summoned was that of yours Hayley, The Labonairs who were immune to the curse and so became the perfect keepers for their latest discovery" "Which must have been why The Hollow forced others to kill my parents when they had the bone because they weren't affected by The Hollow" Hayley interrupted looking sad as she remembered that moment "Which is why your the key to stopping her, she has no power over you and so you can defeat her, with help of course" as James said this men and women entered the room carrying coffins placing them in the open space before leaving. As soon as the door shut The Mikaelsons turned to gaze at the coffins "It seems I'm not the only one who likes to keep those I care about in boxes" Klaus said with a smile as his siblings looked at his with distaste "Lord help whoever is in those coffins, did you put them there against their will" Rebekah said as her look of distaste grew sharper, James arose from his chair and went to the coffins "Unlike Niklaus, Rebekah my family willingly sleep waiting for me to awaken them" and as he said this he began removing the lids of the coffins to remove two men and two women, one of which was Davina Claire, someone Kol noticed immediately and he charged at James grabbing the unfazed host "What are you doing with Davina's body, why is she here and how is she like this? Kol angrily questioned alternating between looking at Davina's body and staring into James's eyes "Just a something I collected while around town and thanks to your witch friend Vincent she's extremely valuable which is why I've chosen to return her to life to give back to you" James spoke calmly looking into Kol's eyes as they welled up with anger and sadness "Sorry to break it to you but after what the ancestors did to her, she can't be resurrected and even if you could her souls shattered so she'll never be fully restored" Kol said as he let go of James and kneeled next to Davina's body and held her hand "That's a small problem that can be easily rectified" and as James said this all the coffins sprung to life as the bodies sat up, including Davina who woke with a smile, hugging Kol "Kol is this really you" Davina said with a big smile holding Kol tight "Yes it is D, it's really me and your alive" Kol responded looking surprised and happy as he held onto Davina who had been placed in the black dress she planned to wear for a date with Kol "I can't believe it, but how I thought the ancestors stopped me from returning?" Davina stopped the hug as she looked around "That was my doing, upon discovering of your demise and punishment then later empowerment as the ancestors anchor, I chose to resurrect you as a gift to Kol" James answered with a smile as the other three people looked around confused, slowly standing "And who might these be, the parents and-" Freya asked but was interrupted by Klaus' question "What use do you have for Kai, the sociopathic loose cannon?" James was about the question when he too was interrupted "Oh you know who I am, that's wonderful at least now we don't have to waste time doing the whole get to know each because even for immortals you have to admit it gets boring repeating yourself to ever new stranger who happens to take interest in your life, I mean getting to know new people is great and all but it becomes so boring, am I right, especially after being released from that prison world?" Kai spoke with lots of energy as he took seat where James was previously

Everyone was silence by this outburst, watching Kai and then returning to James "Kai is a fellow syphon and so should be able to weaken The Hollow if she ever gets too strong for Davina and Hayley to stop" James said as he looked at Kai, Davina, Hayley and then to Klaus "And was she's dead I'll make sure to give her the perfect punishment in Hell" Katherine spoke from across the room having stayed silent to watch this all unfold "And what about my coffin buddies, what will they do, the big bad wolf and the fierce she-vampire" Kai added looking at the silent pair while James simply responded with "My parents are merely here to enjoy the ball and live life, speaking of which I mustn't keep you from it, so please return to enjoying yourself as the night is still young and I shouldn't prevent your enjoyment before planning ensues tomorrow" Having said this James took Katherine and left soon followed by the rest of his guests who were satisfied with what they had been told and happily returned to dancing all the while planning for when The Hollow returns.
