Alexander' s POV

I was representing our university in a techno fair in Germany when my lolo called.

He wanted me to go home as soon as possible , knowing him im sure it was really something important.

Si lolo nalang ang kasama ko sa buhay my parents died when I was young.He was the one who filled me with all the love he could give kaya naman hirap ako na tanggihan siya.

At around 6am my plane landed in the Philippines and I knew where I'd go first...

To the girl I've always loved but could never have. Dennise...

I invited her for breakfast , sa favorite ko na tapsilogan , the place wasn't much pero it served great food. Sometimes great things come in simple packages...

Pagkauwi ko agad akong sinalubong ng mahigpit na yakap ng lolo ko.

LOLO : Finally you're here iho...I missed you ang lungkot ng mansion dahil wala ka..

ALEXANDER: You called everyday naman po ah? I missed you too lo..so what are we gonna talk about po?

LOLO: I have somethimg very important to tell you...

ALEXANDER:sure..ano po yun??

LOLO: You know what...magpahinga ka muna...rest I'm sure pagod ka apo...mamaya nalang natin pag-usapan to...

ALEXANDER: Are you sure lo? Ok...but can I ask you something? Is this about dad? Again?

LOLO: yes, yes it is..

ALEXANDER: lo, We've talked about this diba? He's gone , he's dead...he's never coming back...

LOLO:Let's just talk about this later... Ok? ..I have to go may meeting pa ang board...magpahinga ka..

11 years ago namatay ang daddy ko dahil sa isang car accident , nasunog yung kotse na minamaneho niya at hindi na narecover yung katawan niya

My grandpa was very devastated, the forensics department confirmed that because of the very high temperature caused by the fire, even the bones of my father was burned down to ashes but still lolo believed that he was still alive. But I don't , because if he really was alive he would have come home.

A year after namatay naman ang mom ko , nag suicide siya .

She was suffering from depression because of my fathers death so she overdosed herself with sleeping pills .
Mula noon, I had to grow up fast and man up for myself, If I didn't have lolo by my side, I dont know what would have become of me....

I was in in deep thought ng biglang tumunog yung cellphone ko...

Dennise's name and picture apeared on the screen , I picked up my phone with a wide smile plastered on my face...

ALEXANDER: Hey Dee, missed me too soon?

DEN: You wish...

ALEXANDER: Eh bakit ka tumawag?

DEN: Have dinner with me later...

ALEXANDER: uh, teka teka...is that a question or a statement?

DEN: a command rather..😝 pleaaasssee Alliiiiiiii?

ALEXANDER: why?
