RECAP:
The monster grabbed Aunt Sophie by the hair and repeatedly slammed her face into the wall till her entire body went limp. Her blood trickled down the wall slowly. But no, that monster didn't stop there. He pulled out a knife and stabbed her eight times till he finally let her body drop.
Mom remained at the door completely paralyzed by her fear. He murdered the woman who has given so much to the world. He murdered his wife's sister in front of her yet he was smiling, he enjoyed all the pain he was inflicting and it was overwhelmingly terrifying.
"One less kid wouldn't be so bad would it? Yea the oldest die first anyways so I can do the job right here, right now."
The fear consumed me and froze me in my place. I'm going to die here by the hands of the man I once called my father.

ERIC'S P.O.V.
The fear I felt at the moment was so overwhelming that I couldn't even think straight.
Dad just killed Aunt Sophie.
He's going to kill me.
He's going to hurt Jessica and Daniel.
He's going to hurt mom.
He'll continue using drugs and he won't stop till he's caught or till he overdoses.
The pain won't end for this family. I'm the only one who could stop this. I can't just give up here and let him ruin the lives of the people I care about the most!
I stood up and fought as hard as I could. Thinking of all the pain and agony dad would put us through got my adrenaline rushing. I threw punches left and right. He'd hit me back and dodge a few of my punches. I couldn't even feel it when I'd get punched, the adrenaline rush kept me light on my feet and allowed me to hit my dad without thinking twice.
You have to beat him.
You need to win this.
You need to protect the people you love.
"Wow, my boy can fight." He stood straight and wiped away the blood that dripped from his upper cheek. I guess I threw a nice blow towards his eye." I plan on getting rid of you and breaking that fighting spirit in Daniel and Jessica. I'll do whatever I have to in order to break this fighting spirit, no matter what I'll have to do, I'll do anything to make them learn to obey me." He grinned menacingly, his eyes lost in his sadistic daydream. "Hearing their pleas to stop, the feeling of being in total control of their lives, being able to control whether they get to live or not." He sighed with pleasure. "Oh it's an amazing feeling, I can tell you that."
Something in me snapped. He was threatening the people I love again, he's purposely pushing me over the edge to set me off. And it worked.
I lunged towards him with the intentions to stop him no matter the costs, whether it be my life or his.
Everything was a blur. Screaming, crying, red, and an anger that was so blinding that it terrified myself. Everything I cared about was on the line and I was the only person who could do something about it. It was a fight that I absolutely had to win.
He threw his head back with contentment and laughed. "Do you really think that you'll be able to beat me? Honestly son, I thought you had more common sense than that." He grabbed me by the hair and brought my face close to his, "Well? Are you going to answer?"
I couldn't even look him in the eyes with how close our faces were so I looked at Auntie Sophie.
"I have to win." I whispered.
The smirk on his face faltered a bit.
"I don't think so." His fist collided with the right side of my face.
I was out cold.
