"Daddy it's cold," Ben complained as they continued walking.
"I know buddy."
"When are we going to be there? I want to see mommy."
"See that up there?" Harrison asked his son, pointing towards the large cathedral.
"Yeah daddy."
"That's where we're going."
Billie who was walking beside her younger brother, reassured him, "we're almost there Ben."
"Good because I'm freezing."
Harrison didn't blame any of the kids. Going from 80 degrees in Texas to 25 in London was a drastic change. He himself was cold.
"IS THAT SNOW!?"
All 5 of them looked up to the grey sky, seeing small white flurries falling from the sky. "It's really snow!"
Harrison almost knocked over Emma who stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to catch a snowflake. "Come on, we're going to be late."
"But dad, I've never seen snow in person before!" Adam complained.
They continued walking, the kids now stopping to touch the snow covered ground. Harrison was not very pleased when one of them threw a snowball at him, getting his tux wet.
"Billie," he growled, calling out the laughing culprit.
"I had to dad."
They continued for another few minutes before Adam spoke up. "Dad my tie is messed up."
The snow was coming down hard now. "Can you wait until we get there?"
"No it looks really stupid."
"Well you're going to have to wait. We're almost there."
There was the cathedral where Julia and Josh were getting married. Carrie being one of the bridesmaids, flew over a few days earlier to help her friend out with last minute wedding things.
"Guys look at that," Emma interrupted, pointing to a large ferry making its way down the River Thames.
"Wow that's cool!"
Once they made it to the cathedral, Harrison scanned the crowd for his wife. It had been three days since he'd last seen her, their longest separation in years.
"Where's mom?" Somebody asked behind him. He was too busy staring at his wife who walked towards them, to answer. She wore a little blue dress, and her hair was braided simply to the side. But she looked so beautiful.
Harrison didn't snap out of his trance until she placed her hands on his sides and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. All he could manage to say was, "whoa."
Carrie laughed when he said that. "I haven't dressed up in a while."
"You look stunning."
She blushed. When her face became very red, she hugged him. "I missed you."
"I missed you too Carrie."
"London was lonely without you and the kids."
"We're here now," he whispered.
Their embrace was cut short by Billie who squeezed between them to hug her mom. "Hi mom."
"Hey sweetie."
