Harrison rolled over to bury his face in yet another pillow. He rolled his eyes, grabbing the pillow and throwing it on the floor.
Carrie had so many pillows on their bed now, making it so their king size bed was now crowded with the two of them, a ton of pillows, and a dog.
Beside him, Carrie was laying on her side with her arm thrown across a pillow. The giant pillow took up half of the bed. Then at the foot of the bed, and sometimes trying to squeeze in between them, was their dog. With the pillow, Carrie, and sometimes Leia all on the bed at once, Harrison hardly had any room. With Leia at the foot of their bed now, he had a little more room than normal.
Harrison sat up, with another pillow falling off the bed. So many pillows Carrie, he thought to himself. He turned to his side, throwing another one off the bed.
Carrie opened her eyes, seeing her husband throw another pillow off. She pressed her back into the large pillow to give him more room.
"Morning Harrison."
He rolled on his stomach. "Morning Carrie."
By now, Leia had gotten up and was in the process of jumping off the bed when she kicked a pillow onto Harrison who swatted it away. "Why so many pillows sweetheart?"
"I don't know," she answered. "I like them."
"I don't."
"Why's that Harry?"
"I don't have any room," he protested.
Carrie simply looked at him with a smile. "Come here."
He obeyed, pushing himself up and crawling over on all fours to hover above her. Then he slowly lowered his weight onto her.
"What's that smile about?" He asked, teasing her with a gentle neck kiss.
She put a hand on his cheek, tilting his kisses up to her lips. They kissed passionately, sharing one of the most passionate kisses between them in a long time.
"I love you Harrison."
His smile made her smile. "I love you so much."
Harrison responded only the way he would, by kissing her once again before telling her, "I love you more."
"No Harry, I do."
He chuckled before sitting up. "What?"
Harrison now sat next to her. "Harry?"
He slid his arms under her legs and back, lifting her up and setting her on his lap where she leaned her head against his shoulder.
"Carrie, I love you more."
She shook her head with a smile. "No, I-" Carrie was cut off when he kissed her.
"Harrison! Let me speak."
He leaned in to kiss her again, but she pushed at his chest. "Stop it!"
"I love you more sweetheart."
Carrie tried to escape his grasp as his arms tightened around her. Harrison held her tight. Knowing she wasn't going to get free of his strong arms, Carrie turned so she sat in his lap.
"Harrison Ford, I love you more. End of conversation."
"Carrie Frances Ford, I love you more."
"Stop it!"
"I win."
She pushed against his chest. "What? Why's that?"
"Because I said so," he boasted.
"Harrison!"
"How about we call this a truce and go get some breakfast? Sounds good to me."
"Alright, fine."
•••
After breakfast, Harrison and Carrie were in the back yard, attempting their big project of the day. In the bushes by the house was some plant they'd never seen before called hogweed.
The hogweed wasn't something to mess with. If they, any of the kids, or even Leia touched it, it would cause very painful burns and blisters that would hurt like hell in the sunlight.
Harrison and Carrie were going to take care of it before somebody touched it and got burnt. Billie and Ben came outside when they say their parents carrying out gardening tools from the garage.
"What are you guys doing?" Billie asked.
"You see that?" Harrison asked, pointing to the tall plant with the white buds on the very top.
"Yeah dad."
"That's hogweed. If you touch it, it will burn you and it will hurt really bad."
Billie made a face. "Please get rid of it."
"We will. You and Ben should probably go inside though."
"I will dad. But can I go to Taylor's?"
Taylor was Billie's first boyfriend. Harrison looked at Carrie. "Ask your mom."
Billie turned to Carrie. "Can I go to Taylor's house?"
Her mother nodded. "Go ahead."
"Thanks mom and dad."
After that, Billie went inside, leaving Ben to ask about the hogweed. "Where'd it come from?" He asked.
"I don't know Ben. All I know is that it's really bad if you touch it."
"Can I help?"
"You can help us get some stuff. By your mom and I are going to do the actual removing."
He nodded and went to grab a pair of shears Harrison asked for.
Meanwhile, Harrison and Carrie were in the house gearing up for the hogweed removal. They were each wearing jeans, sweatshirts, ski masks, the white masks doctors often wore, a pair of heavy gloves, boots, and safety goggles. Neither of them had any part of their skin showing.
"You ready?" Harrison asked.
Carrie nodded. "Let's do this."
They both marched out of the house and into the garden where they began the process of removing the hogweed. Ben brought out a second pair of shears, but was then instructed to stand very far away from the weed so he wouldn't get sprayed by the sap.
Harrison and Carrie made their way into the bushes where they walked through part of the hogweed. The plant was huge. Harrison, who'd brought a pair of shears with him, instructed Carrie to hold the stem while he cut it. She did until most of the plant had been cut from the roots. They then carried it out where it was placed in a tarp.
They had to dig up the roots next. After Harrison and Carrie dug up the giant hogweed roots, Ben helped them wrap the plant up and drag the tarp in the woods, where they dumped the weed far away from the house.
