Carrie, Harrison, and the kids all sat out on the deck after Adam's 21st birthday party. As well as Adam having his first beer, he and Joanne announced her pregnancy to all of his family.
Emma and Billie began asking Joanne about the baby, and if they knew if it was a boy or girl. She replied with a laugh, "I don't know."
Billie who was sitting next to Taylor asked her mom, "you don't seem surprised?"
Carrie smiled. "That's because we already knew."
Harrison came out with a few more Bud Lights, giving one to Adam, Carrie, and keeping one for himself.
"You know mom and dad, I don't know if I'm a huge fan of beer."
She was partially relieved to hear that. "Don't worry Adam," she told him. "I don't drink much either."
His gaze drifted to the multiple beer cans that sat beside her on the pool deck. "Don't drink much huh mom?"
Carrie smiled. "I don't drink much by myself. Unless I'm with your dad. Then that's a different story."
"What's a different story?" Harrison asked, resting his head in his hands on the edge of the pool.
"Nothing Harrison."
Adam waded through the water next to his dad as his siblings and Joanne played in the pool with Leia behind them. "I kinda want to hear this story," Adam encouraged.
"There's not a story."
Harrison looked from Carrie to his son. "Oh, about that time when-"
She splashed him with her foot. "Stop it!"
Adam leaned against the side of the pool. "Now I really want to hear the story."
"Well one time in high school," Harrison began. "Your mom and I were at a party with a few of our friends. And someone was able to bring some beer. Your mother didn't want to try it but I was able to convince her. She ended up really liking it. So we went back to my house and snuck some beer up into my room without my parents knowing. Well your mom and I ended up getting very drunk and doing some things I probably shouldn't be repeating in front of your brother and youngest sister. We ended up being hungover for the next day and a half."
"Way to go mom and dad."
Harrison laughed. "And this is exactly what you shouldn't be doing at school okay?"
"Uh okay."
"Adam Ford!"
He smiled. "I'm just kidding. I don't really like this stuff anyway," he reassured his father, setting his Bud Light on the edge of the pool and swimming over to join Joanne, Emma, Billie and Ben.
Leia was swimming around the pool with a tennis ball in her mouth, not letting anyone take it from her. Emma climbed out and encouraged Leia to do the same. When she did, Emma was able to coax the tennis ball from her dogs mouth and throw it back in for her. Leia bounded into the pool which scattered everyone as she landed with a very big splash. The splash was enough to get Harrison and Carrie wet. After receiving glares from their parents, the kids and Joanne settled for playing pickle in the middle with Leia in the shallow end of the pool.
Emma came swimming over a few minutes later, asking her mom for a water. Carrie reached behind herself, opened the cooler, and dug through it for a water. After finding it, she tossed it to Emma.
It was then when Carrie realized she wasn't with her boyfriend Jordan. It was break so it wasn't like he was stuck in school.
"Where's Jordan?" She asked before her eldest daughter could swim away.
Emma turned to face her mom and dad. "We're not together anymore?"
That took Harrison and Carrie by surprise. "Emma what happened?" Harrison asked angrily. Any boy that broke his daughters heart was going to pay.
"It's really nothing dad. I'm not mad about it. In fact, I'm happy about it."
That raised a question to Carrie, had she and Jordan been fighting a lot?
"I found out he smoked and did drugs behind my back. That's not the kind of man I want in my life. So I dumped his sorry ass."
Harrison gave her a high five. "Nice."
"I did find someone else," she said quietly.
"Tell me about him."
"I will mom, when they aren't around."
"Okay Emma."

Later that night when all the kids were sleeping, Harrison and Carrie attempted to clean up after making margarita. The clean up didn't last very long before Harrison tackled her into the pool.
Carrie had too much margarita already, so she didn't even complain when he tackled her into the pool. Harrison then kissed her gently, once again, getting no resistance from his wife. She would normally yell at him, or playfully punch him at a time like this. But she simply let him trail kisses down her neck.
He pressed his lips against her as she reached behind herself to grab the glass of margarita. She pushed him away to take another sip of the drink.
Harrison stole the glass before she could drink more. "Somebody's a little tipsy huh?"
"Nah."
Carrie put an arm around his waist, pulling him close as she passionately kissed him once again. He set the glass behind her as she grabbed at his shirt and kissed him again.
"Looks like I managed to get you drunk yet again sweetheart," he whispered in between kisses.
She backed into the side of the pool, taking him with her. Carrie wrapped her legs around his waist while kissing him.
"Yeah you're totally wasted," Harrison told her.
"No I'm not," she muttered.
He then picked her up and carried her out of the pool, grabbing the glass of margarita before heading inside, Harrison carried her all the way to their bedroom where they dried themselves and changed clothes. When he turned around, she was taking another sip of margarita while changing.
Harrison dumped her on the bed and crawled under the covers next to her while kissing her once again.
