Byron was waddling the park at night, don't know where he'll get to. There're pine trees around him, it's only him and a void of people. He wondered if there'll be ghosts showing up or a serial killer that wants him dead.
His hands fidgeted, sweat flowing down from his skin. Then his iPhone dinged, he withdrew it from his pocket. A text message popped in.
"Head straight until you reach the dead end. Make sure you bring the money, or else, I'll kill your wife." - Ryan
When he reached the dead end where oak trees stood in front of him, he replied.
" Well here I am! Release my wife first then I 'll drop here the money!"
Byron waited for 5 minutes until his phone came buzzing.
" Where's my wife! Ryan, where the hell are you!" Byron became exasperated and impatient.
There was no response, all that he can hear is deafening silence.
Until a Ford SUV uncloaked one kilometer away from him. Its engines are roaring like anytime soon it'll engage at maximum speed. Unexpectedly, it had grown to be inaudible. Then the car's doors opened at a snail's pace. Ryan stepped out grabbing Byron's wife. She's limping, handcuffs on the back of her hands, while Ryan is pulling her away from the SUV. Movements froze, when an epiphany of gunshots alarmed Ryan. He looked back, seeing his men wounded and they sprawled on the ground, while cops with a plethora of guns aimed at him. Byron's wife tried to break free, but it's nonsense. Ryan wasn't bothered, his impression was an insouciance." Hahaha! You think you can play games with me Byron? No way, I'm gonna let you win!" Ryan grabbed a gun from the pocket at the back of his pants, and pointed it straight to Byron's wife's head, his right arm against Byron's wife's neck.
" No don't!" Byron bawled and cried out loud, he gestured his right hand as a symbol for them to stop.
" There's just one panacea for this imbroglio to be solved. You give me the money, then I'll free your lovely wife. But if you don't, you and your wife will see each other in cemetery." Ryan coaxed Byron with vexatious tone.
" How can you kill me huh? There're scant of weapons pointed at your back."
" It doesn't matter, cause I have my men too."
3 men with snipers that came from the Oak trees lunged forward and thrust Byron towards Ryan, causing him to waggle side to side.
" Okay...... Fine, I'll give you the money. But let me have my wife first."
Ryan sneered as he let go Byron's wife from his arms.
Next, Byron dropped the bag of money down above Ryan's feet.A borasca breeze through them as if it's about to rain.
" Well I guess, job is done my friend." Ryan lend out a hand, but Byron resisted to shake it.Ryan wriggled and kneeled down. " I voluntarily surrender myself. Take me to jail."
" Are you out of your mind?" One of his men shouted from behind.
" Nate, you know what to do, shackle his hands." The head of the cops walk past Ryan who was handcuffed by Nate- one of the cops and patted Byron's shoulder who was hugging his wife. " At last," The head cop sighed in relief. " Cessation of our top most wanted is about to bind."
