" So how long will we keep this variable in trance?" Dr. Scott asked Marcus, they both stared blankly at Byron lying down unconsciously in the hospital bed. There was a medical ventilator beside him supporting his life." When all the formulae are already attained, we'll relinquish it from his brain and meld it into a chemical substance. As a result nations will bow their heads to us. They have no choice but to treat us kings and queens cause we have the advanced technology and science ever in history that found the answer to humanity's perfection."
" You didn't answer my question." Scott uttered.
" I riposted it indirectly. Sometimes you need to use your senses to get the answer that you need." Marcus gesticulated his eyes, ears, nose and then mouth.
" I thought you want equality. What do you mean that nations will bow their heads to us?" Scott argued.
" I'm just joking. Yes, I want equality, but we have a weapon that others don't have. But before egalitarianism occurs, won't you mind if we enjoy the last remaining hours of our life here in this black-hearted, iniquitous world. That factory riot, it serves as the first emblematic. Expect more tokens to happen." Marcus patted Scott's shoulder and walked away.
" Hey wait!" Scott ran forward to Marcus who didn't stop. " What will we do to Byron when he regains his consciousness back?"
" I'll contact my brother Flynn, I think he will be utilitarian to him." Marcus gave a weak smile before he gyrated to the left and jolted Thelma who was carrying one long brown folder with her. It cascaded down and dozens of papers with biographies of patients splashed.
Marcus crouched to help Thelma methodize everything into order.
" Sorry." One word came out from his mouth.
Thelma with her head ducked down, moved on past Scott and Marcus with nothing to say.
" Is everything alright? Looks like you and my girlfriend have problems, huh?" Scott jab Marcus chest. It provoke him to lean against the wall. Scott knuckled Marcus in the chest.
" What are you talking about? Of course we don't have! Marcus shrugged.
" Why did she acted like that?"
"Is everything all right?" A nurse noticed them. Then other workers inside the hospital stopped at working and turned their attention to Marcus and Scott.
"Yes everything's fine. There's nothing to worry, Mr. Scott right here had thrown tantrums. Not only patients we need to help, but also doctors." Marcus grinned at Scott.
Scott stepped backwards and gave a sharp look as Marcus glance at him and talked to one of the nurse gulping chocolate chip frappe.
Then the nurse with sphygmomanometer approached Scott who's going to stalk Marcus.
" Dr. Scott, Boss Rogers favored me to assess your blood pressure."" No thanks, I don't need that. When your boss comes here, remind him that I'm healthy and tell him that he may necessarily need to go to the psychiatrist. That poker face is really serious, he should eat marshmallows and drink some pills to help his recessive emotions dominate his physical appearance."
" Hmmm, okay I will report your complaint to Rogers."
Scott chuckled.
He headed towards his filthy ragged office. Scott found a yellow sticky note that was glued on his table." We need to get out of here. Marcus is egotistical. All of this appraisals and experiments are hogwash. Marcus is using us and these patients for his perquisite. He'll remove the intelligence, skills of these patients and he'll inject it in his cells. We need to save the patients now!"
