A/N: Ayyy, first character design of the story. And look who it is, it's Dinosawyer~ Look at that pretty boy. A true magical boy. (Also, I really fucked up in his hands, so ignore those. He doesn't need them.)

Chapter 12: From Sickle to Blade

Sawyer slouched in his seat as he stared out of the window beside him. He was yet again stuck in the library with Trinity lecturing him on how important his role was with Saber Card and how dangerous it could be if someone were to discover him.

"And so, if someone were to find your Saber Mark, just either tell them that it's a tattoo or kill them- Sawyer, are you even listening to me?"

Sawyer whipped his head back to face the girl and blinked a bit with confusion. "Huh? Oh, sorry... I spaced out again..."

Trinity sigh heavily with disappointment. "Sawyer, all of this is extremely important to your safety and if others!"

"Yes, I know that very well. But... You drill the same stuff into my mind everyday. Can we learn about something interesting?"

Trinity raised her eyebrow, "And that is...?"

"How about... All the Holy Saber Cards? The Government? The Rebellion? Literally anything other than the stuff you keep on repeating."

Trinity let out yet another deep sigh as she rested her chin into the palm of her hand. "Fine. We'll start with the Holy Saber Cards." She cleared her throat a bit and began, "As you probably already know, there are seven Holy Saber Cards in total, each of them completely different from one another. The Cards are the Chrono Trigger Saber Card, the Azure Rose Knight Saber Card, the Dead Eye Saber Card, the Phoenix Saber Card, the Umbral Abyss Saber Card, the Death Lock Saber Card, and the Blood Zealot Saber Card. You already know the abilities of our Saber Cards, so I'll explain the other three. The Umbral Abyss Saber Card allows the user to control both space and darkness."

"So... The Umbral Abyss is basically the opposite of my card, the Chrono Trigger?" Sawyer questioned and Trinity nodded her head.

"Just like your Card, the Umbral Abyss is a force to be reckoned with, but is extremely difficult to master, especially the space factor. Being able to control space allows the Holder to warp around from one spot to another within a snap. As for being able to control darkness, this allows the user to create illusions and easily deceive people. They can also use darkness to attack and create weapons out of shadows."

"Being able to control space... Wouldn't that mean that the user can also teleport through multiple dimensions?" Sawyer wondered.

"I suppose so... But that would be a terribly difficult task to accomplish. The user would need the power of a god to do that, since their Saber Card would exhaust and stress them to the point of death." Trinity paused for a moment before moving onto the next Saber Card. "The next Card is the Death Lock Saber Card. This Card allows the Holder to summon extremely durable, magic chains that can extend as far as the user's capability allows them to. The chains are very destructible and the user can summon multiple at a time. The power of the Death Lock is equivalent to Faron's Card and it can extend as far as my arrow can reach with my Card, if not farther."

"How far can your arrow reach exactly...?"

Trinity looked off to the side in thought, humming a bit. "Mmm... Maybe 50 miles, at least? I'm actually not too sure."

Sawyer choked on his breath, "50 MILES?! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! CAN YOU EVEN SEE THAT FAR?!"

"Well, of course. My Saber Card enhances my eyesight and accuracy, as well as the range of my bow." Trinity responded back nonchalantly.
