"What do you mean you don't have it in silver? That's the only kind of metal she doesn't hate." Jack muttered in frustration, pulling at the ends of his hair with his elbows leaning on the glass counter of the jewelry store.
"I'm sorry, sir, but that's the only metal we have in that necklace. If you could wait 2 weeks I-"
"I don't have two weeks! My anniversary is in two days, I need one today in silver. She can't wear gold or copper, or anything like that - she gets a rash from it. I'm begging you, please, please try to find one in silver." Jack begged, looking down at the array of various necklaces, his heart yearning for that one piece of silver sitting in a box, waiting for someone to clasp it on their neck.
"Sir, that is the display one. We cannot sell-"
"How much?" He pleaded, interrupting the jeweller.
"I'm sorry?" The man asked, shifting from one foot to the other.
"The one in the display. This one," he said, pointing to the navy box in the display, "how much will I have to pay for that exact necklace in the display." He finished with a new found determination.
"That one is not available for sale, I'm sorry." He replied, grabbing the box from the display.
"I will pay anything for that necklace." He sighed, glaring at the little box that he wished he could own.
"Well, I suppose I-"
"I can have it? I-I can buy it, and give it to my girlfriend?" He stuttered, questioning if the man was simply fooling with him, in his head of course.
"Yes, sir. But you cannot tell anyone, especially not my manager, okay?" The man whispered, walking with the lovestruck lad over to the cash register at the back of the store.
"I-I, I won't. Thank you so much." Jack murmured, taking out his wallet.
As the man rung up the price, he took the small white bag, containing quite a lot of white tissue paper and a navy box, with the necklace.

"Happy two year anniversary, Nich." He smiled down at the girl, as they lied in the grass in the small forest behind her house.
"Happy two years, Jack." She smiled back, cuddling into his side, snuggling into his big sweater.
"Oh, wait, sit up for a second." He said, sitting up himself.
"No...." She muttered, laughing as he pulled her up slightly.
"I know we said that we weren't going to get gifts, and I know I should've listened and I didn't, but.." He started, looking over at the girl with tears in her eyes - something she rarely does.
"No Jack, I-"
"Check the pocket in my sweater." He murmured.
She nodded slowly, reaching her hand into the pocket of his sweater. She lightly gasped, feeling the velvet box in her fingertips. She pulled it out slowly, watching how the moonlight reflected on the thin metal band of the case.
"Jack, I can't-"
"Just open it. Please." He begged, closing his eyes briefly before looking at the love of his life, opening the gift that he worked so hard to get.
"Oh Jack. No, oh my God I can't accept this, Jack it's too much." She cried, closing the box and shoving it back to Jack.
"No, Nichola, take it." He said, pushing it towards the crying girl.
"Jack, I don't have anything to give back, and you're too damn sweet, and I thought we agreed no gifts and goddamn stop being so cute with your lovey dovey shit come on." She cried, putting herself in his arms.
He automatically wrapped his arms around the girl, his chin resting upon her head. Her body shook lightly with happy sobs.
"I love you, Nichola. I really do." He whispered, rubbing the girl's back delicately, trying to calm her down with a subtle smile on his lips.
"Shut up." She murmured against his neck, holding onto him for dear life.
He laughed lightly before replying; "I really do." Was murmured into her ear before she pulled away from his body, looking down at the box in her, well their, laps.
She sat straddling him, and opened the box again. The cold silver metal shone in the moonlight and stars, making everything so much more surreal.
"Stupid ass white boy." She muttered, playing with the hollow silver heart, with small diamonds encrusted all over the frame. He wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her close.
He looked down at her small frame, taking in her beauty as she fiddled with the trinket. He brushed a piece of hair away from her face, tucking it behind her ear.
"I love you." She whispered, finally looking up from the necklace to the boy her heart would always belong to.
"And I love you." He replied, kissing her deeply.
Thus ending the night, later to be filled with love and passion. They found a new form of love that day, being wrapped up in the beauty of lust.
And the story of the second item. The necklace.
