Jack put the three items back in the bag, not caring if they were covered or not, for he'd be talking to her about it in the morning.
He laid back down on the balled up sweater beside Nichola, his mind being dazed and confused. The unconscious girl rolled over and cuddled into his side, once again without knowing. His arm instinctively wrapped around her curled up body, kissing the top of her head softly and shutting his eyes.
In the morning when they awoke, Nichola knew something would happen, whether it was good or bad it was still to be determined.
"Nichola?" He asked, coming back from a walk with one yellow rose.
"Yeah?" She mumbled, taking the flower and looking at it - not daring to look up at the boy, as if she was in trouble.
"Nichola, look at me." He said, sitting cross legged in front of her.
She didn't dare move, the tears welling up in her eyes already. She saw the bag. She saw the three items sitting in the bag.
"Nichola. Look at me. Right now." He demanded, taking her hands but soon to be pulled away as she fought him and her tears.
"Nichola!" He screamed, causing the startled girl to scooch back away from him, still not looking up. But the one thing he did see, was her eyes.
She clutched onto the yellow rose with all she could, hoping that if she closed her eyes tight enough all of this would disappear. Tears escaped her ducts, falling freely with struggle down her pale face, her body shivering from the cold.
"Nich?" He murmured, shuffling closer to her.
"Don't hurt me." She whispered, still having a death grip on the rose.
"Nichola- I- wha- hurt you?" He mumbled. As soon as she said that, he began to fight his own tears. He would never, even for his own life, he'd never hurt her.
"I'd never, ever hurt you, Nich, you know that. Right?" He said, putting his hands on her thighs.
When she didn't answer, his heart dropped. He looked at the girl with her head down, he shoulders slouched and tears running down her face
"Nichola.. What makes you think I'd hurt you? I-I'd never hurt you, ever. I just, why?" He mumbled numbly.
"You never hit me." She stated quietly. Her eyes never opened, nor her grip on the rose's stem.
"Exactly I-"
"But you hurt me. My heart hurts Jack, because of you." She interrupted, setting the rose - still in her hands - down in her lap.
He stared at the girl, his throat closing up with guilt. He tried to say something, only to come to the conclusion that his heart had shattered even more, and that he couldn't talk.
Now it was his turn. With his head down, his hands clutching onto one another. Silent tears streamed down his face, his shoulders slouched and his mind a mess.
She looked up at the boy, his state mirroring what she had been only seconds before. Her heart clenched seeing the one she loved so dearly, the one her heart yearned for, crying and being so broken.
"Nichola, I-" But he was soon interrupted.

Her lips on his, her hands on his shoulders. She straddled his lap, not giving the confused boy time to catch up. Her arms looped around his neck, bringing herself closer to him. His wrapped around her waist without hesitation, holding her fragile body against his.
Their lips attacked each other's, desperate for love and contact. His hands rubbed circles on her hips, adding more and more pressure when she tugged at his hair.
After the very heated kiss ended, the both of them fell quiet. She backed off of him, sitting about two feet in front of him.
She sighed, standing up from the grass. She walked over to the two bags, pulling out a letter from her bag before slinging both of the bags over her shoulders.
She walked over to the frozen boy, setting the letter in his hands. She looked at him one last time before she continued to walk down the road from the park that she had slept the night before.
She looked back at the boy down the road, seeing him looking down at the letter, seeing him suddenly stand up and look around frantically.
She slipped into the nearest alley, walking away from the light and down secretive paths.
