"No.. Nichola no!" He screamed, throwing the letter to the ground, looking around frantically for Nichola, praying that this was just a big joke. That she wasn't going to throw herself off a cliff.
He started running towards the way he saw her walking, tears streaming down his face. He pulled out his phone, searching the maps on his phone, to try and find a cliff in the area. There was one a few miles away from the park, desperately trying to find some way to get there as soon as possible.
"Come on Nich, don't give up on me." He cried, running the fastest he's ever run. Easily and quickly, his breath started to fade but his pace did not. His lungs began to burn in lack of air, but that didn't stop him.

She sighed, wiping the tears off her face once again. She slowly clasped the heart necklace around her neck, putting the stupid little rock in the front pocket of her highwaisted shorts. She looked down at the photo that she prized so much, holding it in her sweating hands.
She looked at her surroundings with tears in her eyes. The second most beautiful view to die seeing, the first being Jack himself.
She walked over to the edge of the cliff, her bare feet wiggling over the edge. She looked down at her toes, with the chipped bubblegum pink nail polish. With a sunken face she smiled lightly, remembering the time Jack painted her nails, surprisingly well. But he did end up getting a glob of bright pink stain on his white shirt.
She looked down at the waters below, crashing against the rocky end of the cliff. Her heart hung low, seeing the crystal blue ocean that would soon be filled with her blood. She felt guilty, that once again, such a beautiful thing would be tainted by her.
"I'm sorry." She mumbled, looking at the intercut jagged rocks, spacing out for the thousandth time. She continued to stare at the rocks, hoping that she could find purpose among the zig zagged fragments, maybe find a reason to live in the crevices of stone.
She looked down at the photo once again, seeing the boy she loved so dearly. She sighed, his perfect smile and personality made her wish she could stay, but her mind was telling her something different, something worse.
She felt as though she didn't deserve to be here, on earth, anymore. Her heart clenched every time she thought of Jack, knowing that soon, he would move on and find someone to love, that was perfect and beautiful, unlike what her mind told her.
"I'm gonna miss you." She whispered at the photo, missing the times when she was truly happy.
She lifted the picture to her lips, it suddenly feeling like a led weight. She kissed the top of Jack's face, letting out a sob half way through. Now this was real. The tears started streaming, and they couldn't stop.
Everything suddenly became heavy and becoming too real. Her heart started beating harder, her forehead breaking out in a sweat. The heart chain on her neck suddenly becoming tighter, her hands shaking violently.
"No.. No." She muttered, taking a small step back from the cliff, contemplating everything. Shaking her head violently from side to side, her mind not even knowing what to do next.
She had made her decision, this is what she was going to do. She was going to leave. She needed to, she had no option but to, at least that's what her mind told her.
Nichola looked down at her feet as they slowly got closer to the edge. The hairs on her neck stood up, her bare toes wiggling slightly, curving to the edge of the rocks.
"Nichola!" She heard in the distance, her head instantly jerking towards the noise. She had given herself too much time to adjust to reality. She had to jump now if she if she didn't want to make it.
