Riverdale was a normal suburban American town. Half the people pretended to be perfect and the other half didn't bother to put on a façade for the world. Nothing unusual ever happened in the little town. Most of the town's residents had grown up there as had their parents and so on and so on. The towns lifeblood was maple syrup and one family in particular controlled the main business.
The Blossom's. They had been running the maple syrup trade for as long as anyone could remember. The family legacy was controlled by Clifford Blossom, his wife Penelope and his two children Cheryl and Jason. The family prided themselves on their heritage, money and above all else, their red hair. Their family mansion, Thornhill, was avoided by the majority of Riverdale's residents. The children said it was haunted; the adults believed it was cursed. But, the Blossom's seemed to be the perfect family. That all changed on July fourth when the entire town changed in an irreversible way.
